New buyer makes purchase using address not recognized by USPS. Now what?

I hate to be suspicious, but early last week I received a couple of questions from a buyer about a custom made cassette box set I had listed here on Ebay for over a year.  Never got any questions about it before, although it received a steady amount of views and watches over that span of time.  Thursday, a different buyer who had just become a member on the same day purchased this box set for just over $160.  I didn't think anything of the fact that they were a new buyer.  Anyways, I have the item packed and I was ready to ship until I was denied postage due to the address not being recognized.  I thought that it was odd that someone wouldn't double-check the address they had used to have a package sent to, so I contacted the buyer to let them know and asked for them to verify the address. I asked to let me know before Monday, since this needs to be shipped by Monday.  It's been 2 days and I haven't heard back.  I know they still have time to verify their address, but I can't help but to wonder how I can be smart about this, since I don't want to end up asking some more difficult question about this later.  Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out with this.

Googled the address and it appears to be Pinnacle bank - but it's also listed as the address for Pinnacle Investment Services so the OP may be an employee at the business. Yes - they put in the wrong zip code for the location. Many buyers do have their items shipped to their place of employment. You may not have heard from them as they may have purchased the item on their work email and won't be back into the office until Mon.

If you don't hear from them by Monday - you can cancel the transaction due to buyer address and send them another note as to why you canceled and tell them the item is still available if they wish to correct the address and buy again.

Had it been for an inexpensive item - I just change the address and mail it on to the buyer - but I wouldn't take the chance of losing my seller protection for an item of that amt.

I agree with Tunics . Just give it another day or two . It sounds as if this buyer  just didn't have the zip code totally correct .  Tulips

This is exactly what happened. Buyer contacted me and said that it was a gift and wanted it delivered to her work address but forgot to change the zip code.

THANKS SO MUCH!

Glad it got straightened out and the buyer got back to you so you don't have to worry!

How did you fix the issue?  I would be afraid to change a zip code on a high dollar item.
