I have bought and old in the Native American / Ethnographic / Antique categories for many years. When eBay chose to change their way of paying a seller, I chose not to allow eBay access to my checking account - duh. But, when I monitor the categories I used to buy in, there has been a huge decline in the number of items for sale. It used to take me looking at 3-4 pages to keep current on items for sale within the next 24 hours. Now, it takes about 1/4 page to see what is for sale. By the time I get to the end of the first page, the sale date is 8-10 days out. Sellers simply aren't selling any more. I wonder if this is happening in every category? I wonder if eBay has a clue how many people have stopped selling because they don't want their finances compromised by eBay? Is the revenue they get that PayPal used to get offsetting the commissions sellers aren't paying?
It sure would be nice to go back to the old way.
