I used to end my "Good 'till cancelled" listings before the 30 day time period and relist them. When relisted, they used to pop back to the top of the search field if "Newly Listed" was the sort order, and they also carried the "Newly Listed" badge for the first 24 hours.
Am I correct that something has changed in the past few months when using "relist" (vs "Sell Similar")? In particular, can I get the definitive answer on the following:
1) Does a relisted item still appear at the top of a search for Newly Listed items.
2) If it doesn't appear at the top of a search for Newly Listed items, does it still carry the "Newly Listed" badge, even if it falls lower in search?
I've been seeing strangely inconsistent search results when searching for Newly Listed items, so I am trying to determine whether eBay was rolling out some test trials, had a glitch, etc., or whether there is now a new way they are handling relists.
P.S. I'm aware that Sell Similar will push the items to the top of the Newly Listed sort order, but I'm specifically interested in the behavior of relists here, thanks!
