Skip to 26:36 on the video, and watch for about three minutes. Take a look and let me know what you think. And remember, while this is for sneakers, ebay plans to expand this sort of thing to other stuff as well....
Interestingly, ebay shows you which views it wants you to use for the photos (you can add more, of course). And the demonstrator might be indicating ebay's basic mindset when she gets to "description" and decides not to bother, as "the pictures will speak for themselves" (However, keep in mind that she could have put in a description, she simply chose not to.)

Seems like a great idea. It will help a lot of the new users who may not have a template to process shoes.
Thank you for the timestamp for viewing.

I never list on a phone, and I list only doing Sell Similar from one of my own listings. However, I'm not sure how this is different than what we do now. Can someone please explain what's quicker? Is it the way the photos are added?

I did look at the vid, did you read what I wrote? I said, I don't understand which part is faster. I list on a computer, and it seems that this is the same, though maybe what she didn't go into detail about was the item specifics. I should mention that I don't live in a big city, so I don't sell a lot of expensive sneakers, I've never sold a pair of Jordan's, so what I'm wondering is if these templates will be applied to things I sell, when, and how will I know.
If what is faster is the lack of item specifics needing to be typed in, then I'm all in, that is a super huge pain in the butt. I get tired of typing in specifics that I know nobody would ever need to ask, nor use in a search.
Lastly, I guess this doesn't really do much for me because I don't and probably wont, unless it gets super fast, list on the phone. It's too hard for my big fingers and my old eyes to deal with. Maybe I could get a tablet?

BTW, what a cool name. Seriously, that is a super-hero/Rockstar/International jewel thief/Secret Agent name.

@sailinship OK, I understand. This is for sneaker listings on the app and there's more automation and a stronger guidance sequence (which I think is to the good - we know what photos to include, but I see a lot of listings with one or two bad photos, they have a template for that). Right now it's for sneakers, but @my-cottage-books-and-antiques mentions that it may be rolled out to other categories.

Man, anything that helps with the item specifics would be great. I understand the need for them, I just wish they were better. However, I've always known that we are basically the ones making them better and that eventually it will be just like books, you type in some key and then it auto populates with the option of you being able to change the specifics because sometimes they are wrong. Hardback/Paperback is one I've seen often be wrong.
