I sold an item, the buyer gave me a negative feedback. I think a buyer should contact seller with any issues before leaving a negative feedback. Give the seller a chance to fix any problems. This is my first negative since joining eBay. How did you all deal with this. The buyer is new, has 9 transactions since starting his account in December of 2020.

Buyer is probably thinking that the seller should properly vet their inventory before selling it. Why should a seller get a chance to "fix" something? What's wrong with getting it right the first time.

It depends on how bad you want the feedback gone. eBay won't remove it, so the only thing you can really do in this situation is reach out to the buyer and try to make things right in an extremely polite, genuine, concerned for their well-being sort of way. If you resolve the issue and make them happy enough, you can ask them if they'd be willing to revise their feedback.

that i neg is not going to mean anything........people buy like crazy from sellers with lots of negs
I think that buyers should do what they feel like...if they wanted to contact you they would have done it first
I also think that buyers get caught in unproductive back and forths with a seller that lead no where
many buyers contact a seller and get nowhere..that is why I like the MBG
buyers do not need permission to use the tools that ebay has given them when a problem comes up

I fully agree with this statement.
It's not like a 'little thing', selling a fragrance that does one thing and one thing only; to smell good- and have it old and smell bad is just not good business.
Take this one as a learning lesson with some sound advice- check ALL your fragrances for age before selling/listing and 'delete' the listings if they are of 'old' ones.
