If a buyer gives you negative feedback without having contacted you, can you ask if they would except a refund in exchange for removing the feedback? I understand they can still file a SNAD and get a refund one way or another.
There claim was untrue and the product is already used up.
Thanks!

that seems kind of tacky or something.................not really sure..you could just message the buyer and ask them whats up.maybe they did not feel like returning the wood because of shipping.
I bought plenty of quartersawn oak on ebay and like buying wood on ebay
maybe the buyer just wasnt feeling it that day
if you have happy buyers they will come back.I am sure some can be pickey and I am sure other wood buyers know this.
good luck

Feedback extortion policy:
"The seller can't require a buyer to leave positive feedback, specific detailed seller ratings, or revise existing feedback in exchange for a number of things, including, but not limited to:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-policies/feedback-extortion-policy?id=4230
While the policy does say "require" and not "request", I'm not certain you can hang your hat on that distinction.

You are allowed to ask a buyer if they would consider revising their
feedback they left for you.
But you are not allowed to offer them anything in return for doing so.

Offering money to a BUYER doesn't sound like any extortion I ever heard of. Buyers IDs only can receive a positive review. What's to extort? "I'll give you $25 if you remove that red donut" .....sounds like something else entirely. Maybe if you said "Take this $25 and remove the red donut or I will flatten your car tires" it might be a bit more intimidating, LOL...but if I was an extortionist I would dispense with the "Take this $25.." part and go with "Remove the red donut or....".
Actually, many many years ago there was a "service" affiliated with ebay that would remove your neg for a $25 fee.

Best advice, don't even go there. Feedback does not count towards your seller rating anymore. It is not wise to base business decisions on feedback, much less "bribing" a buyer to change the color of a red donut review.

I would let it go. You stated the product is used up.
You can report the buyer, but eBay probably won't do much. I would add buyer to your block list.
