Negative feedback

I am mired in Catch 22 ebay quick sand. A guy in Brazil won a model engine that I had listed as US shipping only. I bent over backwards to find the cheepest shipping but he would not pay. Now he has given me negative feedback. Since I only have 2 sales that gives me 65% positive. How can I continue to sell with that rateing, I will lose bidders and money. How can I appeal thhis?

How were they able to bid if the listing was for US only?  Either double check your listing to be sure that's the case (to avoid future issues), or call CS to let them know this is happening.

And it's worth a try to call CS, explain the situation, and see if they will remove the feedback based on that.  That's about all you can really do at this point, sorry.

Was Brazil included in your roster of countries to which you do not sell and ship?

I can't even figure out what this guy is saying in that feedback.

If he hasnt paid and its been more than 48 hours, file an unpaid item dispute, then 96 hours later, close it. The feedback should be removed, if not, call ebay and tell them he didnt pay and they will remove it

@ochsnm00

I'm sorry this happened to you. Here is what you can do:

  1. Log on to your PayPal account, and block payments from foreign accounts as I advised yesterday. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Member-To-Member-Support/International-sale/qaq-p/27768393/jump-to/fir...

  2. File the Unpaid Item request in the Resolution Center. Close it when he doesn't pay within 4 days. The feedback should then be removed automatically, but if not you can call eBay and appeal it.

  3. Go to your Buyer Requirements page and set up buyer blocks to block bids and purchases from buyers with primary shipping addresses in countries that you don't ship to.

You probably did not exlude countries that you do not ship to through your seller preferences.

You will need to file un unpaid item case after 48 hours of non payment and close it after 4 more days of non payment. Make sure you will edit your settings on ebay before listing another item. Logout and then back in to your account and check that the new settings applied.

FYI folks, the Ops listing is set up correctly to be US only.

I suspect the buyer registered with a US address and then later put his other address in, I had it happen to me about a year ago

Unless things have changed the block is a two step process. You put the exclusions in the listing but in your selling preferences you also have to block bids from countries I don't sell to or similar wording.

Why you need to take two steps for a simple procedure is beyond me.

The case was closed for non-payment and it is my understanding that the feedback should be removed but it hasn't been. I've been chasing by tail trying to contact CS but the live talk is gone and I can't find a phone #.

Follow the contact us pages on Ebay or do an internet search for the number.

We are not allowed to post it here.  Sorry, good luck.
