I just had a buyer leave me terrible negative feedback and Ebay sided with the buyer. If anyone knows a phone number to contact Ebay and speak with a real person, I would appreciate it. They absolutely need to hear the whole story. Also, why aren't we allowed to leave negative feedback to buyers? It seems Ebay doesn't care about us sellers, but with no sellers there are no buyers. Ive been a seller for over twenty years, and always have gotten positive feedback. Please help1

Buyers need to have a rating based on age of their account and their positive feedback percentage. Fraud accounts are almost always new accounts as well.
Just because a buyer is new doesn't mean they're fraudulent. I've had more problems with seasoned experienced buyers who know the ropes, know the policies and know how to get away with infractions without having them look like infractions.
In fact it is against eBay buyer guidance to start a return or leave feedback before messaging a seller with an issue.
This is not true. Certainly ebay suggests that buyers contact sellers if they have a problem but it's not against ebay policy to go straight to requesting a return. Often, they don't even understand how to correspond without opening a case.
Many buyers who've opened a case thought they were simply contacting a seller to notify them of a problem.
potential buyers go to our feedback page and they don't click on the 3,000 positives this month, just the 1 negative.
FWIW, there are 60 positives this month, not 3000 and I'm not seeing any negs.

I am going through the same thing right now EBAY does not care about sellers due to big corporations paying big dollars to sell. They are trying to create a buyer platform like AMAZON

Hi @gementfl
Sorry for your troubles.
You might consider starting a new thread. Your post at the tail end of an old discussion can get overlooked and folks may believe they are commenting on the original author of the thread. Plus, these old threads can get shut down for being out-dated.
Your voice deserves to be heard. Good luck and hope your plight gets resolved to your benefit.

I'm sorry you got the negative, but unfortunately it does not fall under any of the rules for getting it removed. I know that can be upsetting, especially if you feel differently. Can you identify which feedback rule they broke? That might help you.
Ebay is a platform for buyers and sellers. I'm unsure how or why the buyers would be considered a separate platform. There are far more differences between Ebay and Amazon than there is common things. Not that I even understand what you mean by "buyer platform"? How can one of those exist without sellers?

Was the item sent through ebay international shipping and the buyer is complaining that the service is slow?

I hate to say this but for whatever the reason, people have the right to leave negitive feedback if they want, or can't work it out with seller..
Seriously..... this is like Meloglog complains, where they would remove from website just to make themselves look better... Its time for everyone to understand from both users and business point of view.
If business can only dictate (and sellers alike), order what users buyers must do only, how is that a good experience for all ? I hate to say if but (like in real life), if you ordered me to give you a positive review only under any circumstance, you won't see me again. However, if the buyer had a bad experience and the seller didn't resolve it, then buyer has the right to send feedback fairly.. Sorry. I've put in negative feedback before, and the amount of times i get angry complains from sellers.... I basally sees me 'angry'' because you are going to a marketplace to be a buyer, yet THEY expect you to always leave a positive feedback regardless.
eBay says to contact seller first to work out a solution, but if the solution fails,,, then the seller doesn't care,., From my POV, i actually think sellers always want positive feedback... Seriously... Settle down...

This is almost a 4 month old thread and the OP chose their best answer. The person you are addressing most likely will not reply either. Should you have any questions & concerns it's always a good idea to open your own thread for your specific issue. You do know this is a US forum?
