How to I contact a real live eBay human being?
I have an issue that can only be addressed with
a living breathing person.

Use the "contact us" link. After you run around in circles for a while you should get a choice for a call back, or perhaps a chat. It is Sunday, so don't get your hopes up.
Just be advised, that some (most) of the time the people you contact won't be able to help you anyway. They will be real nice and sympathetic, but can't really fix or address situations where YOU are about lose some $$$$$$. Their job is to tell you what you want to here, and protect EBAY at all costs. They might even give you inappropriate advice that will make whatever your problem is WORSE.
There are many knowledgeable people on this forum that can advise you if you care to share what the issue is. At least you will know what to expect once you get a hold of a eBay CS rep.
Good luck.

The Chat (email) is better than talking on the phone.
For one thing, accents don't get in the way.I had a horrible time once with someone from Texas or Kentucky who did terrible things to innocent vowels.
You also end up with a written record of what you were told. Not what you think you were told.
Remember too that the eBay employees have not been working there long, and don't have any corporate memory.
Nor do most of them have any experience as sellers or much as buyers.

The usual problems are:
Your buyer did not pay.
Your buyer has not received his purchase.
Your buyer says the item is Not As Described.
You have not been paid. Your payment is on Hold.
Is your problem not one of those?

"I have an issue that can only be addressed with a living breathing person."
Not all eBay customer service employees fall into that category. At the least post the issue here and somebody might be able to help. EBay has protocols for most problems.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Have us call you" link. The cautions and caveats listed by other posters on this thread apply. HTH.

Yes. I think the same as you

Any issue you have on this platform can be resolved by following the procedures posted. You just won't like what you get and that's why you "think" speaking to a CS rep will give you a different outcome. It won't, it's purposely designed this way. Best of luck to you....

E bay reps are on permanent Vacation sorry , try back in a year or so ! You can have phone bank employees from the Philippines reading from a script call you back , with little command of the English language .. might as well be talking to a wall ..

I applaud your decision and wish you well. And I admire your tidy house... wish I had one. Good luck. 🙂

The phone reps ebay hires are just phone center people that aren't necessarilly people that use ebay. I had a roommate that did that for a bank, she had a half day training and a half day supervised and was then suddenly an "expert" on that company. Really, she just had scripts.
I have had great assistance from ebay reps on FB. They were knowledgeable, capable and very nice. Took care of my problem. Twiter is an option as well (haven't tried). Good luck~
