If I buy a bin that doesn't have instant payment can somebody else buy it before I pay?
If I buy a bin that doesn't have instant payment and then win auctions from same seller, do all the items show up on the seller's sold list so they can be grouped together on one invoice?
Thank you

For items that are commonly purchased together I agree you should turn off the IPR option. If you are trying to save both you and the buyer on shipping costs then do what works for both parties.

I wish.

No. Some sellers prefer you keep shopping to conbine your shipping costs. It goes into your cart. After you are done then pay for the item. It's yours.

I have promotion manager specials running all the time ...
Others do not have that feature. I am glad it works for you. Speaking as a BUYER I am directed to checkout each and every time I hit a BIN EVEN IF THERE IS NO IPR advertised. The "commit to buy and continue shopping with this seller" no longer exists in the categories in which I purchase. I can put stuff in the cart, but I am forced to pay for each item plus the shipping individually.
Perhaps it is category specific? Perhaps you didn't get "rolled" in yet? I don't know. Perhaps it is a benefit of paying for a store subscription that your buyers are not directed/forces to the checkout page?

OP.
"I can put stuff in the cart, but I am forced to pay for each item plus the shipping individually. "
We found out that if you don't have "Offer combined payments and shipping" marked yes under - Site Preferences - Shipping preferences - buyers can't get things to combine.
And no store for us. Useless as no auctions for records, books or entertainment memorabilia

@justagirl12 wrote:That’s not what the OP is asking. He’s asking if he hits BIN and commits to buy where immediate payment is not required will it still be available for others to buy and the answer is NO. It will no longer be available for others to buy.
This is the correct answer.
That is not the same as putting the item in a cart, in which case it will still be available for others to buy.

"Entertainment memorabilia" is one of the 13 categories where Stores subscribers can use their free auction-format insertions.

Starting on October 4, eBay has a new limit on the credit that they give when an auction-format listing sells after you've paid for the insertion fee: The credit will only be given to sellers who have a Store at the Basic level or higher, not to Starter stores or sellers who don't have a Store.

OP - ypu don't need a separate tracking number for each and every item sold. I'm sure your concern is shipping 4 items using one tracking number abd then once received the buyer will claim there was only 1-2 items in the package. Does this happen - yes - but it's not a regular occurance.
Buyers like combined shipping and will buy more if you offer it. You could be missing out on multiple sales - but the business is yours and you should do what works best for you.

It maybe part of the store subscription. The promotion is through promotion manager which is only available to store owners (I think?).
The listings in questions have been running for about 3 or 4 years and they have several thousand transactions against them (one has 12K items sold from it), and maybe they are also grandfathered in until I end them?
It seems lots of differences are also noticed from home PCs to mobile, and perhaps something is in this area as well?

OP.
"ypu don't need a separate tracking number for each and every item sold."
Person buys two of more BIN, each needs it's own tracking number. You can't enter the number from sale/label "a" to sale/label "b".
" the buyer will claim there was only 1-2 items in the package. Does this happen - yes - but it's not a regular occurance. "
As we're selling hard to find items that these people want - really want - no one is gonna lies and run the risk of being blocked from getting any more. Five guys have bought hundred's of dollars worth of those radio station surveys each. No one gonna say they didn't get something unless they really didn't. Same with the records. The prices some people will pay for 'bad' records says they want it.

Actually, I use a PC. As an afterthought I wonder if it is "buyer specific" that the "commit to buy and continue shopping with this seller" no longer exists, or simply category specific. Will have to get some "volunteers" to test this one...LOL. Thanks for your insight.

I have had far more commit to buy purchases in the last couple of months than ever before. It still surprises me every time since I went for a long time without seeing any. It has been happening on my vintage collectibles purchases.

THANK YOU! The 'store info' on the seller center page only states "collectibles and fashion"
