I just received my first NEG in a long time.

The buyer uses a re-shipper and has private feedback.

I just had a bad feeling before the purchase. These are 5 CDs that I listed at VG. They were more like VG+ but I like to undersell and overproduce most of the time.

He receives and says there are scratches under bright light. It seems what he is looking for is NM.

I block him immediately and explain that they were listed correctly and I guaranteed that they would play without issues. If he wasn't satisfied I would accept a return.

Instead he now has left 5 NEGS and stated that I blocked him and argued. Do you think I have any chance to get them removed.

I'm not that worried about it either way because I have great feedback but don't want to waste my time if there is no chance.

There's nothing there that's against feedback policy that I can see...BUT go and check the buyer's feedback left for others and see if he does the same thing to other sellers. He may be setting you up for a partial refund in exchange for feedback revision, which is extortion and not allowed. If that's the case, you can give Ebay a call and try to get them removed.

The reshipper is not your issue. The buyer is.

First, you have to call Ebay. Since this buyer has private FB, you can't look at what type of FB they leave for others. That is an important bit of information because it can tell you if they have a track record of doing this and/or abusing the FB system.

Blocking a buyer after a purchase prevents them from purchasing again, but does not affect current transactions at all, in any way.

If you told him you blocked it, I would have to wonder why you would do that as it could serve no good purpose. If you didn't tell him, then the only way they could have found that out was because they tried to purchase from you again, which would be interesting since they weren't happy with the first purchase.

Since the items were reshipped to whatever country and/or location the buyer is at, the MBG doesn't cover most cases, so that may be why they didn't file for an INAD.

If this happened to me, I'd be calling Ebay. Stay polite, professional and on target with the problem at hand. Your feelings or emotions need to be checked at the door as they will do nothing to help you when calling. You want the CSR to want to work for you, so keep it light and informative. You need to tell them it was shipped to a freight forwarder and then the forwarder shipped it to the buyer. You also need to ask them to look at the FB this buyer leaves for other to see if there is a history or evidence of abusing the FB system. Ask them if this is an abusive buyer.

Please come back and update the thread with what you find out.

Then that is the only way they could have known, which is interesting too.

I hope you will call Ebay as I think it is your best approach to this matter.

Thanks. Like I said I'm not that worried about it in the long run so I won't be emotional about it. If all else fails I will just leave a factual response to the feedback. I just started focusing on sales again recently and everything has been going great. I have been reading these boards for years and appreciate the help.

I don't see why, as he didn't file an Item Not Received dispute.

I wonder if CS can see a buyer's feedback left when it's set to be private publicly?

But yeah...OP definitely needs to give Ebay a call.

While I'm glad to hear this doesn't have you all upset. It would be important to me to try and get them removed. You never know when you may run into a buyer like this again. So maybe in 4 or 5 months you get unlucky enough to get a similar buyer. They add another 5 negs to your account. It just can add up is all I'm saying.

I prefer the proactive approach. I want my dashboard closely for issues. Ebay does from time to time make mistakes. They have never been enough to cause me any problems in an eval, but since I'm eval'd on the previous year, I can never know when more may be added on due to my fault or that of Ebay's. And since you only get a certain amount of time [60 days I think] to try and get these things fixed, I don't wait. I act on them when I find them. But that is just me. You may have a procedure for yourself that works for you and your business that is different.

Yes they can. It is hidden from the public, not from Ebay.

I want to say this to the OP. As a buyer if I looked at your listing and saw your FB as it currently stands, I would think this seller has basically 2K in positive FB. The 5 negs are obviously from just one buyer. I would still purchase from you and ignore those 5 negs. Anytime I see a neg written in all caps (which is yelling) and using multiple exclamation points!!!! I dismiss the comment entirely. It just comes across as a disgruntled angry road rage person, whether the buyer or a reply from the seller.

So you shouldn't really think about this much more and concentrate on selling more cd's so that these negs fall onto the second page. You'll be fine. Best of luck to you....
