Hi,
I got a recent restriction for MC011 on eBay meaning I can’t buy sell or bid anything until my account gets unrestricted. I have had my eBay account for 7 years and due to the fact of too many listings in one month my account got restricted. I have gained only double digit eBay “karma” and reviews through buying and selling here and there. I bought a bunch of devices in bulk through Facebook marketplace and they are all unlocked phones with unlocked iCloud, unlocked activation, clean devices. All that have been listed have been shipped and delivered all with tracking numbers and happy customers. eBay is now asking for documentation that includes my Id, credit card statements, utility bill, and detailed receipts of the items that I listed on eBay that I purchased. I was able to provide my Id, statements, utility bill, but I am not able to upload receipts since I have purchased them with cash. Is there anything I can do? Customer service is no help and I have contacted them numerous times and they are not able to do anything besides tell me to wait. It says my funds can be on hold for 72 days which I don’t mind waiting if it will actually go through. But, is there a chance that I won’t get paid out at all and all my items that have been delivered have just gone to waste and my money is gone because I can’t provide receipts for the items I listed for sale? Please let me know if someone has gone through a similar situation or knows what other steps I can do. Any help is appreciated thank you.

From eBay : MC011 is a permanent suspension, and your account will remain restricted until you finish the process that we required from you.
1. Did you sign up for managed payments - if not you need to and you need to provide all documentation and id they are requesting including your full SSN.
2. You may need to contact your seller from Market place to ask for a receipt so you can prove purchase to eBay.
If you don't provide the information required, the MC011 will stand and your funds will be held until they are released to your state, (6 months?) then you have to claim from there.

They are more than likely trying to double check that you're selling legitimate phones &/or checking to see if you're a drop shipper. If you can't satisfy their investigation with a receipt from an authorized dealer & provide them with whatever information that they are requesting from you, then they more than likely will reinstate the account with some initial limited restrictions to prove your A+ selling habits again.
Per the ebay fine print, they are allowed to hold any & all funds that you have in ebay managed payments. Please check other threads about that topic on this board.
If what you're saying is true that you had a cash transaction without a receipt for the unlocked phones, then you will be out of luck on ebay.

Maybe eBay wants to know if you are the rightful owner and that you did not purchase stolen property. Even if you pay cash, you should always get a receipt. It is best to get a copy of the sellers id.

Did you ever get your money? I'm in the same situation

OP is no longer a registered user here on Ebay so they cannot respond. This thread is also 7 months old.
You are a new seller who sold some very pricey items. That will always raise red flags.
Get your receipts in order for the merchandise you sold and contact customer service via this link:

Thanks ma'am, however it's still the same reply. They say my account is permanently bannned no specific and my 3200$ on hold will be released once my account is reinstated. However they just said my account will never be reinstated??
Anybody sued eBay? Any experience?

I'm so sorry
The funds that Ebay is holding will be released to your states unclaimed funds department. You can claim it in 6 months. As far as a lawsuit where Ebay is concerned, you agree not to sue them when you sign on to sell.
Wish I had better news for you, but I wish you all the best with future career opportunities.

Hi- Unfortunately @dhatha_9547 is also no longer a registered user. They were selling items that were restricted on Ebay and I don't believe they were located in the US.
The individual that posted this thread is also NARU.
Good luck with your pending account and hope they lift the restrictions.

Well, I'm still a registered user. I did upload all the recipts, invoices and my identity proof that eBay asked for. Stil I got permanently banned. I was selling my used Dell laptop that I bought from Dell last year. I don't believe that selling my laptop is restricted on eBay. Few of the people reached out to me saying to just create a new account and still sell on eBay, as eBay doesn't care. However, I not going to do that, I'm happy with selling on my remaining gaming box on Facebook Marketplace.
The thing that eBay is doing, is definitely illegal. It's the fact that they restrict you right after shipping. I strongly believe that an action will be taken against such practice of eBay. I wish you good luck getting your funds back. I'm in the same boat so waiting patiently as their Customer sevice team has informed me that it will take 60-72 before they release my withheld funds.

I am in the same position too. I don’t know what to do.
