Pogs was a game in the late 90s (maybe early 2000s). You would buy packs of Pags (the thick cardboard coin type things). Then you and a friend would stack them up face down and use a pog slammer to hit the pile. You would then get to keep any of the pogs that landed face up (I believe that's correct on the gameplay).

There was also a collector value to them, as certain themes or pictures were more rare than others...never got into them, thank God. I had just started playing Magic: the Gathering around that time 🙂
