Right after the announcement - bill passing for Stimulus Checks I got a rash of sales BUT THEN it stopped -- skidded to a stop. Now I just keep getting all these low ball offers. Every item I have over 24.00 or so I have sent out offers of 10% or more less by using the SEND OFFERS but even with over 10 watchers on an item no one bites. They just watch and then send me emails with low ball offers. I am willing TO SIT for awhile on my inventory until they get their Stimulus Checks and the money is burning a hole in their pockets. I am not about to work for nothing but paying Ebay and Paypal Fees. Not ALL Ebay sellers are desperate -- and THIS Ebay seller is getting a stimulus check too. No need to give my stuff away.

While I am still selling regularly, the intervals between two sales have become larger, at this point. Alas, I hear you: I have about 33 items being watched, some of those by more than 5 people, but nothing moves. Listings get relisted and then the number of watchers increases a notch up - but basically, I believe everyone is waiting of a wonder to happen. Secretary Mnuchin announced yesterday that the stimulus checks will get to people's checking account "within two weeks." That means April 22 or so about.
I would not bet on sales picking up right at that time, though, because many people are lagging behind on paying important bills, like rent, mortgage, utilities, etc. It is nice that we get that money, but most of it is already spent, unless people are independently wealthy and / or still getting regular paychecks or unemployment benefits, atop of the stimulus check.
But I certainly hope that I am wrong!
On the brighter side: the sales I DID make were for above-average expensive items, so it is not always the number of sales that counts, but the total amount. I hope your sales will pick up soon, and please stay safe!

MEOW! My Puppy is saying, "Hi!" and would appreciate if your optimism would turn into reality. Translated in Puppy Language, that means more treats and dental bones. Not to mention, Pop-Corn. I decided to rename it Pup-corn because of the voracious appetite my Pup exhibits towards the white fluff. Do Kitties eat pop-corn? If so, may you be blessed with lots of sales, too!

You may have to wait tell after the election not the checks.

Be polite, yet firm. I received 3 low ball offers before the 3rd person agreed to increase his offer by 50%.

Right after the announcement - bill passing for Stimulus Checks I got a rash of sales BUT THEN it stopped - OP
From my personal point of view part of the slow / no sales epidemic has more to do with the type of buyers that frequent e bay . They seem less willing to pay the asking prices more so than buyers that use other selling platforms. For instance [ and I know my own experience doesn't speak for all e bay sellers ] but I made 14 sales in the last few days on my other selling site . However and meanwhile an extra 60 cents added to a counter offer was a big deal breaker for a e bay shopper who WAS interested in one of my items yesterday. It just seems e bay buyers are looking for rock bottom pricing .
Granted I have watchers galore as you have but they rarely buy and if they do they spend very little money. We've been having spooky e bay ghost towns episodes for as long as I can remember [ buyer since 1996 , seller since 2006 ] . And a creepy feeling tells me that it's unlikely to change . Possibly if the stubborn e bay powers at be would consider advertising like every other selling site does ,, it would help ,, but once again the status quo is unlikely to change . Tulips

All four of our dogs love buttered popcorn but our Tom cat has never showed much interest in the stuff . I had a cat named Gracie who lived to the ripe old age of 16 years and she never passed up the chance to eat a rubber band whenever she found one . She was always real good at jumping fences and always had a '' spring '' in her step .. 🙂 Tulips

I've lowered some prices, as I normally do ....but I've also raised prices as I normally do. It doesn't matter to me if the stuff sells or sits.
There's a new audience each day.

It could be worse. I just got an offer of $15 total on an item that would cost $12.62 to ship if they live close to me. With eBay and PayPal fees, I’d basically be paying to get rid of it. I don’t get how some people think...

Only 1 lowballer for me this week & an abundance of 6 sales. lol I'm not desperate, either. If I post for over $150, I'm not selling for $60 (before fees). I'll post some less expensive items here & going to spend my time trying to get local sales. Items people might buy while sitting at home day after day. Good luck & stay safe. 🙂
