I've been having buyers requesting that I not include an invoice with my item when shipping. By accident I included an invoice to find out my item was sold through Amazon and drop shipped to another customer other than the buyer.
How is this possible?
Is this a real thing?
please help me to understand how this is being done.

It is real ... it happens.
Some eBay sellers actually have drop shipped off other eBay listings, taking advantage of eBay's search algorithm that elevates listings up periodically so that a higher priced item obscures a lower priced item.

You should be thrilled and jumping with joy. Hopefully they will buy all your stuff. The other option is raise your prices because if someone can buy yours and have enough room to sell it elsewhere then your not charging enough. One other possibility is they ran out and needed one quickly for one of their customers who already purchased one from them.

Amazon buyers will pay more for items than ebay buyers.
I've heard so many times that a lot of Amazon shoppers don't even price compare anywhere else, just order everything from there.

There's probably more drop-shipping gimmicks going on than regular selling.

Interesting. Do you have facts to back up those statements ?

As long as you are getting a price you are happy with, it should all be fine. You may however want to take a look at Amazon and see if you need to make some adjustments to your selling practices. Branch out.

It’s against the rules on EBay to order elsewhere to fulfill a sale after the fact but I don’t know about The River rules. Emergencies are generally considered okay.
Be happy you made the sale.

They aren't talking about Ebay seller's doing it, but Amazon sellers. At least that is the way I understood it.

Just curious how you found out? Assuming the end buyer paid more did your invoice include your price? Its been a few years but I have had that request a few times. I complied and never heard boo. I think I price better now not leaving much room for a drop shipper.

I sell an item on ebay for $40 that someone is selling on amazon for $96.
He does not stock them. When he sells one, he buys one from me and has me ship it to his customer. Also, asks me not to include a invoice or any paperwork.
Why would i be mad? I'm happy to make the sale.

Why do they have to ship to their customer? Why don't they have you ship direct? And the more important question would be, why are you selling these items on Amazon?

I read a lot of comments on various articles on Amazon and there are a lot of comments that state such.
When I sold on there, my prices were 3x higher than on here. Amazon attracts those high-class type of buyers.

Hmm- I might accidentally include my current pricelist in a package if I sold items that I have multiples of.
But I sell collectibles that are scarce although not unique.
But it is true that AZ prices are higher.
I get $18.49 on AZ (with shipping) for items I sell here for $9.99 including shipping.
And even then my price is about the lowest on AZ about 1/3 of the time.
