I invited my friend to share my seller account and, through his phone, I accepted the invite I'd sent and saw the "green bar" saying we're connected.
I looked at his ebay account (in Home page, My eBay page, etc) in his phone's browser and in his ebay app, and I see no extra access, no indication that he's not just an outsider shopping at my ebay store. I've granted him permissions for almost everything, including drafts. Is there a page or a tab (such as my Seller Hub's "Orders" tab) that allows access to shared information?
When an item is sold I want him to see the same details that I do regarding that item.

You're talking about Multi User Account Access, correct?
If that's the case, your friend needs to access your account using Seller Hub - they can't do it through the phone app.
Editing to add the MUAA help page.

"When you grant access to an authorized user, they'll see a blue banner across the top of the page in Seller Hub, letting them know which account they're acting on behalf of.
If they need to switch to another account to manage a different part of your business, they can select Switch account in the banner."
