I'm sure with what's going on currently that spending money on 'collectables' is not in very many peoples minds at this time.

Just for grins did a search of current eBay active listings there are only 676,633 Hot wheel brand listed. Seems like market saturation from here. You have a total of 25 active listings
Could be that folks are saving their money for a rainy day that might be in their future.

A few weeks ago my ebay business went through a slump. With great concern, I called ebay and had a conversation with a representative. Her suggestions were VERY helpul to me and things turned around very quickly. She gave me some advice that was helpful. I also found some good advice googling "how to increase your sales on ebay". Here are the 2 things I learned:
1) Refresh your ebay listings at least twice a week. That alone helped my sales. If you don't know how to do that call ebay and ask for someone to walk you through it.
2) Keep posting new listings everyday. I see a direct relationships between increased sales when I am listing something everyday.
The coronavirus may affect us all and these suggesting may not help. But it is worth a try. We're all in this together and we need to stay positive and hope for survival on ebay.
You're not alone. We are all rooting for you!

With everything closing down, I have a feeling people won't be buying much for awhile.

I'm still wondering why people are stocking up on bottled water. There's no danger to the water infrastructure.
And there are warehouses stacked with TP, but dumb people insist there isn't any and fight over a pallet of it. No real shortages except those brought on by panic or gougers.
This slow time will be a great time to keep listing. If to fight boredom if nothing else........

I believe that EBay should suspend store fees for 2 months. I know it would cost EBay a lot to do that but in the long run they would retain more of us than they would lose and that would more than make for the lost revue from the suspension of store fees. Those of us who have been selling on EBay for more than a year and have worked hard starting with free listings and working our way up to where ever we are in the store chain could use the help right now to keep afloat. Thank you and I hope someone at EBay makes this suggestion before I have to close down. I sell new and used clothing mainly and sales are going down fast.

I think people especially limited income are assessing their situations. They are holding back on unnecessary buying and using money for urgent bills such as housing and food. I plan to wait it out and hope sales return when this virus is gone. I am retired so income must cover all and with losses in market our retirement funds are going down. There will no be time to make up difference as with younger folks. Just try to keep well and only do what is needed for supplies and pray. I do feel that Trump waited to long with confusing statements . Maybe now with government action, we can get back to normal by summer.
