I'm never late mailing out a package. I have setup handling for 2-3 days. And I assume the below standard means I'm not selling enough for Ebay's standards? Good thing I don't have a store!!!

I don't think your shipping metric is the problem, but rather your "defect rate". Looks like you may be in line for final value fee punishment camp with added fees applied to your sales.

No, "Below standard" is not about the number of transactions. Your Defect rate is too high. Read about defects here:

I am pretty sure it is not the volume that has caused you seller evaluation to be below standard. It may have more to do with your transaction defect rate, late shipment rate and possibly other factors. There are a number of evaluation factors eBay uses to determine your seller level.

Your defect rate is the problem, not late shipments, although you must have a couple of those also. You have a high defect rate for out of stock cancellations/unresolved by seller cases.

I had two customers cancel orders I already printed shipping labels for then I canceled the labels but ebay's Metics lowered me from Top Rated to average because there was no acceptance of package at the post office.
NO **bleep** eBay. The labels were cancelled...DUH.
Proof of the Below standard money grab that everyone will be on eventually.
SAD.

Ittybit: I don't have a store. Does it make a difference? The reason I have that defect is because I sell below what EB wants me to sell, as if THEY know what I want to do. I'm not a professional seller, I don't care if I make 1 sale, 2 sales, 3 sales a month. No other site has "defects" and "standards". So EB needs to separate the Stores and the Professional sellers from the occasional sellers.

Nobody's perfect: It's a false defect rate. I'm never late with mailings. I don't have returns/refunds. And when I do it's because the delivery service broke the breakable item.

Fern*wood, that is also not right. Where do I go in Ebay to have this corrected? The automatic robot is out of control.

Did anybody mention your TPS reports...er, um, I mean your defect rate?
Everybody take a drink when somebody answers with "defect rate."

How are you handling these when they happen ?
Are you refunding your buyers right away or are you disputing the claims so eBay step in and refund on your behalf? that is a major reason for defects.

?
@liawrig.nq8rdwqa3 Look at the breakdown of your transaction defects to see where the problem lies. It's not in the amount of sales, nor what you sell the item for, nor having a store - it's for failures (at least in eBay's eyes) in handling a particular transaction, be it a case that's open or a cancellation for out of stock. The parameters for a casual seller are the same as for a professional seller. Check WHY you have those defects.

Or you could learn how to properly cancel a transaction and not blame ebay because you failed to read

eBay expects all sellers to BEHAVE professionally by addressing any issues with buyers that might arise, regardless of whether they are occasional or professional sellers.

late mailings do not affect your defect rate. Since you had trouble with the link that was provided above (twice!), I'll show you the relevant section so you can see what a defect is:
