Multiple variations for a single listing

I would like to list a single item at a time that has two different variations boxes to choose from With 7 different extras to choose from per variation. However when I do this it shows a large quantity when I only want to have one item listed at a time. Is this possible, been messing with it for a while now and just cannot figure it out. 😞 My brain is basically cooked tonight so maybe I'm just missing something simple... So it would be one item for sale then the buyer could drop down the variation box 1 and select 1 of 7 different items to go with it and then drop box 2 and select 1 of 7 different items to go with it. That's what I'd like to do anyways. Thanks for any info!

Sounds like you just have 14 different combinations then, right? No problem. Create 1 "attribute" and label it like "box". Under that attribute, create two "options" labeling them like #1 then #2. That covers your boxes.

Now create another attribute calling it like "extras". Then create 7 options under that attribute (and numbering them 1-7). Click save and ebay will ask you if you want it to like populate your variations automatically. Click yes.

Make sure you put quantity 1 for each variation you created. It will ultimately add up to 14. Viola, you're done. When a buyer clicks into your listing but doesn't choose a variation yet, they will see qty 14. It will change to qty 1 after they made the choice.

That's no different than how I make my listings with 2 colors and 7 sizes each color.

Multiple variations for a single listing

Thanks for your detailed response (greatly appreciated)! The items I list are handmade and I sell them one at a time, at least this particular item. I would like to list one "main" item at a time and offer 7 different option/extras to choose from (USING TWO DIFFERENT DROP DOWN BOXES), we'll call them A, B, C, D, E, F, G. So if the main item is purchased I'd like the buyer to be able to select as an example. A & B, or D & F or even E & E. Since the item is handmade one at a time if I have multiple listed and sell them all I'd be in trouble LOL as I would not be able to fill the order. Hopefully this makes sense and again thanks for any info.

The variations format can't be set up to offer just one item.   There has to be a quantity available for each combination, even if some of them are zero. It's meant to be used for manufactured items, such as clothing that comes in multiple sizes and colors.

I see, thanks for the info. Do you know if it would be permitted/ok to just do something like add a picture with the 7 different extras available and mention in the description to select any two and add a note during check out or message me after purchase?
