Multiple Customers saying that their payments are not going through

I have not made a sale in over a week; I usually sell about 3 items a day. I have had 5 different customers email me asking why their payments are not going through. The get an error saying that their payment method cannot be processed by the seller.

I have contacted ebay and paypal; who both deny anything is wrong with my account.  These are not scam buyers, they are all repeat customers; 4 use PP and 1 is CC.

Multiple Customers saying that their payments are not going through

There are many reports of this over the past month and numerous threads.

Hopefully eBay can shed some light on this?

Generally speaking, the problem is usually with the buyer. If buyers can't get their payment methods to process, they should check their accounts with both eBay and PayPal to try to determine why they're unable to complete a transaction.

Just FYI, I've made several recent purchases without a problem. I'm using a Windows 10 machine with Chrome browser, and I use a PayPal Cash Plus account funded from my bank account.

PayPal recently made some changes to their account structure, so your buyers should confirm they have the correct type of account for the activity they're attempting.

Just some ideas . . .

I have also had family memebers try to purchase items from their PayPal accounts. One via Android app, one on iphone app, and one on Firefox. I am quite sure that if AT LEAST 5 customers and 3 people who use their paypal everyday, cannot finish a purchase, there are other issues happening.

That is just fantastic that others are having this same issue.. Nothing like losing sales to make someones day. I just wish there was a way to actually get in contact with people who can help and not just brush it off.

I've been having the same problem  but  only as a buyer . There's one seller that I can't make a purchase from because the payment [ Pay Pal ]  doesn't go through . I think I've made 4 attempts  over a course of about  2 weeks  to no avail . I've contacted the seller  but they never say anything about it  . Don't know what's up  but it's weird . Tulips

Hi @proguard_sales - there are a few known issues with PayPal as a form of payment for buyers. This is something we've reported and PayPal is working to resolve.

It's always worthwhile to contact CS (or advise your buyer to do so), so they can review and add the buyer to the open ticket of impacted members. Thanks!
