Multi Variations Listing question-total quantities

I was wondering if anyone can help me. Is there a way to make multiple variation listings with the quantity being for all variations, not for each one separately? I know on other selling sites there is such an option but I'm not finding it here.

Meaning, some of my customized personalized items I sell with variations, as the custom decals have different options, but I have a fixed amount of the item its going on. Therefore, It's not working for me to give each variation its own quantity, as it doesn't really matter to me which variation they purchase. 

I'll give an example of one listing. Custom personalized tumblers: I have a set amount of tumblers, the variations are only how they'll be customized. Right now I need to divide my amount among my different variations, even though it makes no difference which variation they purchase:

If I understand you correctly....you only have TOTAL of 100 items (but you customize them but allow customer to purchase "variations with different decals".    You want EBAY to calculate ALL SALES of different variations sold and STOP at 100.

I never heard of EBAY doing this....I think you would need to keep track of sales manually.

I know exactly what you are talking about. If you have 10 variations, each with 10 items, you want it to show a quantity of 100 instead of showing what the count is for each variation.   Sorry, that can't be done here as far as i know.

Alas, there's no way to do that.  The variations option was designed to accommodate pre-made items such as shirts that come in different colors and sizes.

As you are apparently doing already, you have to be sure that the total available for all of your variations doesn't exceed the number of customizable items that you have available.
