Depends on the type of mug it is.  They can fit in many.  Age, style have a lot to do with it.  I have seen some that would have to be listed in adults only.

I wouldn't worry about it. Certain items do not lend themselves to searching by category, a coffee mug being one of them.

When someone is searching for a coffee mug they are usually looking for a certain kind (christmas tree mug, etc) not in a general category as @simba6 alluded to.
