Other than idle curiosity what good would that information do?

Are you thinking that you should start selling those items?

Suppose that a particular item sold 100,000 times a month but there were 100,000 sellers. How many sales do you think you would get? One per month?

Suppose there was an item that only sold 10 items a month BUT you were the only one that had it. How many sales do you think you would get? Ten per month?

I’d vote for this one.

While I do carry a lot of popular items I also make it a point to carry items that few to no one else sells. And they sell well.

Some time ago I listed some license plates for Slippery Rock University. Yeah, I never heard of them either. But I was the only one who had them. So when someone went looking for these plates (You know, the people who GRADUATED from Slippery Rock University) my name came up as the first name on the first page of BOTH eBay AND google search. Every e-tailers dream. The proverbial hotcakes.

It was actually more 'majestic' - my friend was tall and about 240 lb - it was like watching an earth mover in a slo-mo crackup.
