Mobile Friendly Checker

Is there a way to do this in bulk, or do they have to be done one by one?

Thank you!

Mobile Friendly Checker

Ok guys,

I just discovered the Mobile Friendly Checker (not really updated i guess 🙂 and i was reading on the forums how it takes ages to adjust every single listing one-by-one and the things to be even more painful once the listing has expired and when you want to relist it,you gotta do the whole process over again. Not really handy and very time consuming.I was wondering why eBay doesn't do that automatically, perhaps in the future it will be.
Anyways i'm happy to say and share with you that i found a way how to bulk it and it is super quick.
Here we go:
Click on the "Listings" tab in Seller Hub
than select the category in your store you want to edit,(i did category by cat,you can do the whole store at once if you wish)
select all the listings in that category (make sure they all got the "tick" (nike) sign ON 🙂
once they are all selected go to "edit button" and click on "edit selected"
in the following window that pops up,you do the same (select them all)
than you click on "Edit Fields" button above it and select "Item Description" ONLY
in the next window you will see 2 tabs "Standard" and "HTML",click on the "HTML" one
there will be blank field under "Enter details below" you click in once to see the cursor blinking
copy & paste this in the blank field:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
than click on "Save and Close"
than click on "Submit Changes" followed by "Confirm and Submit" and "OK"
The magic in now ON,you got the whole category updated at ONCE

Hope this was helpful
Cheers and Merry Christmas y'all

Mobile Friendly Checker

Thank you codeeland for posting this information. I tried this method after the "mandate" from eBay was announced to sellers. I tried doing it by store categories and by revising 50 listings at a time - very time consuming when you have almost 1,000 listings. Neither method worked. When I clicked into a listing and used the "Mobile Friendly Checker", it failed.

After I read your post I wanted to check and see if it would magically work this time.

I selected a store category and followed all of your steps.

Then I selected one of the listings and clicked on revise to see if the change actually worked. I scrolled down to the item description. To the right of that there is a link that says "New! Mobile-friendly checker" and clicked on that.

I received the following message:

  • Your listing isn’t quite mobile-friendly. Let’s fix it!
  • Image exceeds screen width
  • Then there is a box that says "Fix it for me"

So the bulk fix of items in a store category didn't work.

Again, thank you for posting - I can't tell you how much I wish it had worked.

Has anyone else tried something that DID make your listings mobile-friendly in bulk?

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Mobile Friendly Checker

That is a bit strange bwalder70bh,that it is not working. Because i checked many times after i edited all of the listings and when i go to "New! Mobile-friendly checker" in Item Description both of the lines are green and ticked, which means everything is fine and it accepted the change.

Has anyone else tried and got the same result like bwalder70bh???

I really want to help you guys

Cheers,

Mobile Friendly Checker

Thank you for this helpful information.  I have thousands of listings and was trying to do them one by one.  This works for me.  I didn't do it by category though, just listings on each page by bulk at 100 at a time.  Again, thanks!!!

Actually, I remember seeing a notice from eBay that we did not have to worry about that anymore. They (eBay) were doing it automatically. Probably about 3-4 weeks ago.
