Message system seems to have vanished in My ebay

I've been frustrated that I don't see a way to view prior messages sent in the eBay system. I'll see a message sent or received in my email account but there is no message history to be found on eBay anywhere anymore, using my cell phone. Desktop mode on cell is impossible, too small to use. There used to be sent history in ebay's message system, now I see no message system, no letter icon at the top for mail anymore. Is this a new stripped down message system? I have to look through my personal email account to see if I answered a potential buyer, or what our conversation was. I had to ask potential buyer if I answered their question, I had, but the reply didn't show up in my email "sent" either. Pretty lame and inefficient, I wish the old message system would come back.

I don't know if your problem is related, but eBay is creating a "new" (not improved) message system.  Most of the needed functions are not included, but they say they are working on it.  For some reason eBay likes to introduce the "new" before it is even functioning appropriately at all.   LOL...  It is typical eBay that when something new is introduced, it breaks other things as well.

The "new" system they talked about in the Seller Update really isn't new.  It has been there for at the very least a year, but I really think it has been much longer than that.

Now when I went to review the so called New version on the day the Update was released, the only difference between this new newer message screen was that it was in black.  Now looking at it today, it presents more like the Private Messaging system we have here in the Community.  It actually looks better today than it has for a long time.

Now we are still missing being able to send a copy of the message to our own email address and you still can't report a message in the new system.  But hopefully it is coming soon.

Wow are you able to see my messages as I see them when I click on that link? That's a little scary if anyone can see them. 

This is what I used to see but for months this is totally gone and I have nothing, zilch. 

So to see my messages, do I paste this link into a browser on a new page, not on eBay, to see my messages?

No one else can see your messages. Just their own messages.

You can paste the link into the address bar of any browser tab.

@maubrn  Found it.  Not sure if this is a new place b/c I rarely use the app, but from the Home screen, choose My Ebay , 2nd button over on the bottom row.   Click it & Messages are right on top with an envelope icon & the word Messages.   I'm on an Android.

What kind of message system is it if you have to leave eBay to find your messages off the site? It doesn't make sense. Do you know where I can keep the link? Im using an android, I never figured out notepad! I've never seen a site where the message system for that site is off of that site. Maybe I have it wrong?

They "streamlined" it into invisibility 🤭 I wish things that work wouldn't get "improved".

I don't use the Mobil App.  Would you please post a link to the messages for Ebay in the App.  That will likely be the easiest for the OP, then they just need to click on the link to arrive in the Ebay message system.

The link @onlinecentral gave you doesn't make you "leave Ebay".  It is a link for messages IN Ebay.  The link tells you that it is an Ebay link.

You can see your how to get to messages an all kinds of other information in your Seller Hub.  The top line, first item is Messages.  Try this link.

No it isn't.  You are just having difficulty locating it.  There has now been a couple of links posted on your thread that will get you where you need to be.
