Message System Issue

Hey Gang,

eBay has upgraded a few things on the site and after some changes took place I noticed that the contact option on an order details page does not work properly.

When I view an order and attempt to message the buyer from the order, I am simply taken back to my inbox. 

The workaround I have to use...

I click their user ID then message them from their profile, select the order from the suggested order list and then the message system does work as it should.

Is this also happening to you?

You have to contact buyers from orders section of the seller hub overview page.  Find the listing and to the left is a blue arrow drop down menu with a contact option that functions.

Not at all. EBay wants the seller hub to be the center of the universe.  The contact button on the listing page is no longer functional either.

@dream.store.2  When I tried your first method I had the same thing happen as you did.  Thing is, I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, because I've never used that method to contact the buyer - I just go to the orders section and contact the buyer from there (as described above).  Seems rather useless, though, to have a link that says 'contact buyer' just go to messages with no way to, actually, contact the buyer, but then again, eBay is famous for not connecting the dots when it comes to coding.
