Last night I created a sale in the new Markdown manager. I've already done one, so am not sure what I'm doing wrong now. Anyway, I hit launch and went along my merry way. This morning, I have nothing on sale. When I look at manage promotions, It shows my sale as Active, but nothing else. It doesn't have the number of items, etc. When I click Edit it shows that I have 178 items. I tried 'Launching again but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Are you giving the sale event a name? Like Happy Christmas Deals or whatnot.
I think that is a required field. Can't remember for sure, but something to check.

I did, but just changed it to see if that helps. Hit launch and it brought me to the Manage Promotions page. Waiting to see if anything happens, but shouldn't I get a 'Succes' or something like that?

You have to do "promotion + event" something or other. I just went through this and it took me a few times to realize that.

Unlike the old markdown manager, the new promotions manager does not show "Items on sale" but will show the discount on the listing itself. It's not good because we (buyers and sellers alike) cannot search by "Items on Sale" when the new version is used.

I can see my "Items on Sale" in my store using the New version??

Are you sure you actually selected items to put on sale?
Double check your rules (or your upload file) ... If you want all store items marked down, your rule should be by Category/Store Catagory/All inventory

Hi Everyone,
Just got of the phone with a very nice rep. We went through what was going on and then she had me create a small sale - 2 items. Still won't launch, but no errors. So, they are opening a ticket. Still, a bit frustrating.
Thanks everyone for their input.

So, still not able to launch a sale. I'm going to call again in a bit. Wondering if anyone else successfully launched a sale over the weekend?

Ok, thank you. Do you use google Chrome, Explorer or Apple? I'm using Chrome but may try with Explorer. Very frustrating given it's the holiday.

Ok so was able to launch a sale via Explorer. Weird.

Both eBay and the Post Office seem to be notorious in 'fixing' things that were never broken. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the old Markdown Manager.
What really gets my goat is someone actually gets paid to mess things up!

I'm having this same issue and am at a loss of what I'm doing wrong. I have "launched" a sale several times only to find out it never actually worked. I typically use Firefox. Going to try it on explorer right now based on your post here. It's frustrating. The entire Holiday shopping window I thought I had an active sale going and had all but given up on my eBay Store, it's like a deadzone I swear I saw a tumbleweed blow across the screen in my seller hub..

Are you indicating the time you want the sale to begin?
There's a drop down box, located just above the "launch" button where you can select a time to start. I always choose "start now". If you don't select a time, it will be inactive even if you do hit "launch."
