Margin schemes for VAT collection in Germany

Hello,

I sell second hand goods on eBay.de. I’ve just upgraded to business seller, and got my German VAT id.

Because I sell second hand goods, a margin scheme of VAT calculation should be applied.

However, it look like eBay is not providing such opportunity, even though they are aware of such situation. How other sellers of second-hand goods handle this?

I suggest you ask about this on the German eBay boards, not many people here know the intricacies of EU VAT collection.

In the US there is no Value Added Tax as there is in much of the rest of the world, US Sales Tax is a completely different animal.
