Most likely employees wouldn't even be able to get to work OR get to their delivery areas if there is massive flooding.
Hopefully, these post offices will still be standing after Florence gets done with them!

I'm not surprised. The Outer Banks are a series of islands; the only way to get to them from the mainland is by several low bridges. They don't want anyone on the Outer Banks when the hurricane hits because there's a good chance the bridges will either be flooded or washed out. That's why they're evacuating them now.

The South Carolina list of closings is even longer. I hope everyone down there is heeding the instructions to evacuate.

Just posting to the end of the thread. For what it is worth, I am praying for those people. It is going to be a bumpy ride to say the least. In FL, the post offices re-open when they re-open. We would expect, at the very least, the venue backs buyers and sellers affected from their (silly) defects as a result.
