Making offers to people who are watching your items

I have been doing this since 2003, not everything has been easy to find.  But when i view my listing of items, it will also have a column to show the number of people who are watching that item.  is there a way to make an offer to them to purchase the items?

Yes...sometimes. Ebay will have a link (not sure where it is, I really only use the app) that says "send offer to watchers". If that's available, you can do it.

In the seller hub on the active listings page, you can send offers to "interested buyers". However, you do not know who they are, and buyers can opt out of receiving these offers.

eBay makes the final decision about who is "interested", and they take into account how many offers the buyer has received so they do not get inundated.

Yes. Go to Seller Hub then active listings and then send offers eligible.  See pic.

It's not in the app, it's in your web browser on your phone or the desktop site on your main computer. The app seems to have this absent so I look on the web browser of my phone to find out how many items I can send offers on (to give me a chance to think about what offer I want to make).

If I have items with multiple watchers I figure it will sell for the listed price.  Sometimes I will lower the price for an hour and bump it back up if no one buys.

For items with one watcher I know one person is watching over 100 of my covers.  He wasted quite a bit of my time last month so I raised the price on almost every item with one watcher after someone wrote to complain that they were uncomfortable paying more for postage with tracking than for the item itself.  My response was "I better raise my price then."

Selling on ebay can be fickle.  An item priced at $3.50 won't sell for months.  After laying around the 'unsold' pile for a few months I will relist it for $7.00 and it sells almost immediately.   I gave up trying to figure that type of thing out.  You can reach the same profit level selling half as many items if you price the right items higher and throw the low end stuff away.

That's weird. I have it on my app. When I go under "selling" I see "24-add item specifics", and "2-send offers to watchers". If I click on that I see the 2 items I can send offers for. I'm using Android, don't know if that makes a difference.

I'm using Android, but I have a dated version of the app... unless it updated automatically. I see it in the web browser, but not in the app. I see other things in the app (like bids, and buy it now, and such), but the send offers only appears in the web browser.

Think the same thing - if there are multiple watchers (especially over 8-10), it will sell where I have it listed.

We get emails all the time from e-bay telling us we have watchers on items and to lower the price 5% and they will email them to let them know the price dropped on their watched item.  Have not utilized that yet, but thinking about it.

Hey Chapa,

Thank you for your assistance.  I get to the point of manage active listings and Im not able to click on Summary because it is not showing on my screen.  You have been a great help.  I tried to speak to staff at Ebay and they didnt have a clue on what i wanted.

Why bother?  Just window shoppers.  I have an item posted for less than 2 days & have 11 watchers.  It's the only one on eBay & a great seller.  It can sit there or, hopefully, sell somewhere else without fees attached.   🙂   Stay safe.
