eBay wants colorful boxes to compete against the "brown box"
You might consider Duck 283046 Red White & Blue Flag tape for your packages!
It's that little extra your customers will notice even before they open up thier box.

Ebay missed their timing on the latest ad campaign. Trying to differentiate from the typical brown box is a great idea... IF they had gotten some colorful packaging out there FIRST. As it stands now, a buyer who "fills their cart with color" and gets their shipment in ebay logo packaging, will receive it in a brown box. The only difference in ebay's brown box and the other guys' brown box is white lettering vs. black lettering.
Great idea, if it were executed properly.

If eBay wants to send me a roll of tape or stickers, I'd be happy to slap them on IF/WHEN I get a sale.

FREE ebay stickers would be a great idea!
If eBay sent them to me I would use them. . .

If you're lucky enough to ship lightweight items and use poly mailers, there's some interesting red, white and blue ones out there, too.
Didn't find any patriotic bubble mailers, but I bet they're out there.

Then they can send them to me. Or offer them via their Branded Supplies and I will use my next coupon for shipping supplies to get some ... but sadly, that is not until the end of June so I doubt I would get them or any supplies ordered in time for th 4th ...

eBay is boring the tears out of sellers with their worthless ideas, serve a web page, fix your terrible search engine, eBay executives have their priorities mixed up, if they can't serve a web page 100% of the time they are defeating the purpose of being in the ecommerce business in the first place.
Colorful packaging is the last thing they should worry about.

Good grief! I use their branded supplies but I cross off the eBay markings on the boxes.

Absolutely agree........ supposedly they are introducing something colorful at Live, which will promptly be sold out........ If they had given us some warning, "colorful" could have actually happened. Somehow there's just a total disconnect with everything they try to do......

@copper.boom wrote:@z50com I do like the thought, though I would not recommend the Duck tape. Duck tape is super-gummy and can make opening a package difficult for the buyer & sticky up their box cutter or scissors.
Scotch makes packing tape in various printed designs, including patriotic ones. 🙂
Search "Colored Packing Tape" 🙂

Yes, definitely. Or even patterned options. This is one of the patriotic designs I was referencing above, though there are many more options: 172702423071

I have very little interest in what eBay thinks about the color of my box.

IMHO sometimes the "little extra" makes no difference whatsoever.
