Why is Ebay constantly changing my auction listing to an make offer option? It's causing me and potential buyers aggrevation. I am constantly revising the listings, just when I thought I had un checked the option fro offer, it reappears. What is going on?

Ebay started doing this last year to drive sales. They said they place this on listings that they consider to have a price that is too high, or that the seller is new, but I think it is now the default if you list with the Quick form.
It's not a glitch. It is a new feature.
You are not required to actually accept a Best Offer.

They are doing it as a "courtesy" to help you sell your items.
eBay receives frequent complaints about this, but there doesn't appear to be any changes forthcoming in their policies. The only two things you can do to stop the annoyance:

If you check this Board, you will find MANY threads on this issue.
Clearly, it is not a popular new feature.

This 'added feature' isn't popular and has additional 'add ons' like having eBay automatically reduce the asking price of an item as the listing gets older IF YOU subscribe to that debasing.
ANOTHER 'FIX' may be to add to all item descriptions you have a simple explanation that the 'Make Offer' button has been added by eBay without your consent and that you will not consider or reply to any offers made using this Button.

This new "feature" will probably drive me away from selling on ebay. Not only do they hide the fact that the box is checked for this feature by putting it on another page and I sometimes forget to uncheck it, I also have to waste time constantly going into my listings to uncheck it. My price is the lowest I am willing to accept! I am guessing that too many people are selling for free now on fb marketplace, and their sales are down, so they are pushing us to accept lower prices so they can at least get some commission. I am really unhappy with how they are trying to control sellers these days.
