I’ve noticed in my latest round of selling that I’m receiving significantly less feedback than years in the past, even for relatively high-dollar items in great condition or listings where I absorb a significant portion of the shipping cost. My deliveries are always on-time or early and I always issue refunds for mistakes or condition details I miss, on the rare occasion that happens.
I never leave feedback until it’s left for me, just in case there’s some trouble with the buyer. But this is normal practice. I’ve done this for years and still received more feedback than now.
The ratio of buyers who leave feedback has always been relatively low. But now it’s only 10% of so of my listings, if that. Has anyone else noticed this trend, or am I doing something wrong and the buyers are dissatisfied without saying so?

I think I'm getting a lot less than I used to, hard to tell don't pay regular attention to it. I always give feedback, usually catch up a couple times a week, when I do I do for everything shipped even if it hasn't left my mailbox yet.
I always give sellers feedback... unless I get a request for feedback then I don't.

We have 29,083 transactions with this store and 14,015 feedback total. So the math says 48% of buyers have left feedback. It for sure seems like it dropped off lower in recent years and we do look at these things. At one point only about 30% of buyers were leaving it. We chalked it up to more people using mobile devices to buy, and just more buying retail online in general where feedback isnt normally left or even available to be left so buyers dont care, as long as they got what they ordered. However if I look at the first 50 transactions of March that show delivered, 40% have left already feedback.

Are you selling items or buying feedback?

I give out my feedback afer shipping.seller hub lets you know who has paid and I then leave feedback
it easier for me to just leave feedback when its paid for
I do not feel like I am giving up a strategic position at all.if someone wants to blast me with bad feeback then thats what will happen
I like to think leaving it first takes the guesswork out of it
I am immune to bad feedback for returns anyway since I am TR+
I still get 60% of feedback returned anyway................I have plenty of it

Your percentage is very close to mine. I'm more in the collectibles area - not sure if that helps with feedback.
I'm in the camp of leaving feedback as soon as is reasonable - I don't wait for buyers to provide feedback. First, I don't want to waste my time figuring out who has provided feedback, then going in one-by-one to reciprocate. I prefer just to do mass feedback once every few days. Second, I haven't experienced any bad buyer behavior because I leave such early feedback.

We have Ebay set to leave feedback automatically for buyers. SO SO SO MUCH EASIER. Some months we do 300+ orders just from this business store, no way I'm doing those one by one.
