I found some old cinematographer magazines and will sell them, but they all have the address label of the subscriber. I looked him up out of curiousity (not many people in cinemaphotography) and he was involved in a historical event - having filmed some of it. He has since passed away (last year). Should I mention this in the auction? is it ethical? should I remove the labels? comments/thoughts please.

Was he famous ?
What was the event ?
As the guy has passed, I would think it would be safe to name him here.

magazine labels are difficult to remove without damaging the magazine. Leave them
As far as the subscriber I don't think it would make a difference so I wouldn't mention it.

OK..thanks for your comments. I will leave the labels intact, but leave it to the buyer to figure out who the subscriber is. Here's what I found on him: (subscriber) was a cameraman for WDSU-TV in New Orleans and filmed Lee Harvey Oswald distributing pro-Castro leaflets in front of the International Trade Mart.

I have been researching Lee for over 20 years.
I would think putting in the reference to Lee passing out the leaflets.
And the guy's name, and TV station, would get you more hits.

The more words in your description and searchable words in the title the better to get views. (but) I can't imagine anyone wanting a magazine owned by someone who took a picture of Oswald but it can't hurt.
