Not sure what happened but I am missing 20 items in one of my store categories! This just happened within the last day or 2! They seem to be nowhere...not in unlisted items and not showing up in listings! I DID NOT DO THIS...why would I eliminate 20 of my own listings??
Does eBay just willy/nilly end seller's listings now? Some were older listings but some were not. Do they realize how much work this is to recreate those listings??
I know last year they lost all the pictures for the "Inventory" listings & I had to replace them all when I relisted. But these were ACTIVE LISTINGS! I am just at my wit's end trying to figure out how to get these listings back!

Ebay removes older listings~those that have been listed a year or more.

If they were a year old and removed, I read on another old post there should be a message from eBay in your unsold listings area.
Maybe there's something there about the newer listings too?

Check you "unsold" items.
I once had ebay mistakenly remove/end some of listings. I found them in the "unsold" section.
I don't think ebay ends/removes items that don't sell. I have a few items that haven't sold in a while and ebay does not end/remove them. There is just a notice saying the item has not sold in X months and to please consider revising the listing.
Gold luck!

I wonder is 'someone' is practicing for the 'Crash" sale?
Just kidding, just kidding - I hope.

I've had listings disappear for no apparent reason. One here, one there, and they definitely were not a year old. They weren't in my unsold listings, and they weren't sold. The only evidence I had that they were listed was in the email that was sent upon listing. Some glitch I guess.

While Ebay long ago said they were going to remove stale listings [18+ months], they did it for awhile and then stopped. I'm not aware of Ebay starting this back up. They may have, but it isn't something they are doing to my listings.
In my SH on my active listing page I get a note from Ebay when a listing is 16+ months old and not activity. They do not auto close the listings, they just flag me so I know it is time to take some kind of action.

The same thing has happened to many of us and I'm assuming a glitch. Just went through all my men's shorts which I leave up year round. Found 7-10 pair where the listings were just gone. They weren't in unsold and they weren't even in completeds - yes - I have been a little lax checking my inventory the past 3 months - but regardless - they were gone.
It's not the first time this has happened but I usually don't lose as many at once.

No they don't.
These are what we call "poofed" listings. They vanish from actives with not a trace to be found anywhere.

OP, do you have any item numbers for the missing listings?

Maybe. But, sometimes, customer service reps just make up stuff. We don't know why ... perhaps it is part of their culture to pretend to always have an answer, even if incorrect ... but if happens ... a lot.
So, let's get trinton@ebay to let us know if there really is a policy change, or if a "customer service team member needs coaching".
Hi @orangehound, while a listing may be considered underperforming with no sales or watchers for the past three months, it won't be removed until at least 12 months have passed without a sale. I'll be sure to review the call with Customer Service to provide appropriate coaching.

It should be noted that on a recent thread there was discussion of missing listings. The OP discovered that Ebay is changing some categories that can have variation listings. The OP of this other thread had a listing closed because of this. It caused great confusion for the OP and apparently the CSR they talked with at the call center. But it has been straighten out now.

It should also be noted that what Trinton said about when stale listings might be closed by Ebay is stated in the published policy on this subject of stale listings. However that does NOT mean that Ebay closes all listings that are 12+ months old with no sales. It just means they can. For myself personally I have never had Ebay close any of my listings for being stale.
