MC011 Restriction solutions

Welp the dreaded mc011. I recently thought I scored an amazing find at my local store and sold a high ticket item. I’ve been selling on here for a few years now selling all sorts of items from various categories.

I sold an expensive speaker set for $1700 and of course eBay asked for all the information.

I have provided the actual receipt of purchase and the bank info of the card and all I get back is an email asking for proof of purchase.
At this point I I just don’t know what to do. They are holding just under $2k in funds from me and I have provided all the information needed.
I have provided the actual receipt.

I am starting to become hopeless. Does any one have any experience of other info they could help? Thanks for listening.

@arkhamvintagestore

You might want to reach out on social media via Facebook:

These are US CS agents who are employed by eBay and may better serve you and your situation.  Many positive posts on this forum with their ability to be helpful.  Make sure you have receipts for the items in question to remit to them if they ask.  Hopefully they'll get you back on track and back to selling.

Good luck to you.

If it were me, I would give eBay what they asked for and send the same receipt again.

eBay is asking for something in order to lift your suspension. Not responding would seem counter-productive.

I went to the store and got an invoice for the nice manager there and sent to eBay. They accepted it, it seems

BUT now they are asking for proof of delivery again of all items, but now the items sold after my restriction even though they wrote to me in a previous email it only needs to be the items prior to the restriction.
The communication from this back office team is not good.  How can they say to me 1 thing them completely change it. I even asked multiple times, should I consider stop selling once the items previous were all delivered but I was assured it would be okay.

I found sometimes you have to send eBay the info more than once. I think they just like making you jump through hoops in hopes you don't follow up for the third time. Just my opinion from experience. Contacting them through FB seems to work from reading here, although I don't do FB. Good luck!

Wilson audio speakers set sold June 12th for $1700 local pickup. Picked up on June 20th local pickup. It’s all there on my account.

Maybe this has something to do with local pickup. Ebay allows it but really frowns upon it. Was there messages back and forth between you and the buyer ? Any wording whatsoever can cause Ebay to think you are scamming by not paying fees. Also it does not show up in your sold listings so something is not right.

Nope, actually the opposite: I told them I only do the business through eBay and there was clear messages with coordination to pickup the item. I even have photos of the item loaded up in the car.
I just want access back to the account. I’ve jumped through about 15 hoops to even get to this point. Sadly tracking for the items just sold won’t show delivered for another 48-72 hours. Just don’t see how they can now ask that of me as well when I even asked them if it was okay to continue to sell because I knew the tracking takes days to deliver. And the back office team assured me it was only for the items prior to my restriction.

I also do not see this sale on your account.  What was the listing number?

For a seller that does not normally sell an item that is this expensive, the Security Dept jumps in and will hold the funds until they are satisfied that your buyer is satisfied.

You did the right thing to submit the paperwork.  That was smart.  But now you just need to wait.

Here is some info that may help you to better understand.

Additionally, eBay may place a transaction hold on funds depending on your seller status or the category you're selling in:

  • New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while eBay confirms that their items have been successfully delivered. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. In limited circumstances, new sellers may experience holds for up to 21 days.
  • Previously restricted or suspended sellers will experience transaction holds for the 30 days after the restriction or suspension is lifted, while eBay confirms that the items have been successfully delivered.
  • High priced items or unusual selling patterns may lead to transaction holds for up to 30 days to help us ensure that buyers don't have any issues with the order.
  • The authentication process may lead to transaction holds for up to 30 days until the authenticity of items sold with eBay's Authenticity Guarantee can be confirmed.

Because it is their site and they make the rules. You should have no problem providing proof of delivery if you bought your labels through eBay.

Also if they had local pickup then they should have had a pickup number of some sort. I have never used local pickup but from what I  have read that is the PROOF.

This is just beyond insane at this point.

another update:

ebay is asking for all items to show delivered, even the items sold after my restriction(for some unknown reason eBay allowed my items to still be listed)

so after 12 days now they take down my listing and ask for confirmation of delivery of the rest of my items. I have them all shipped off but waiting an 3-4 days to verify this is so unreasonable. The eBay back office team needs to be adequately retrained or their leadership needs to be removed. This is just awful service.

I have no issue providing labels, invoices, receipts, ID, everything. I have it all. I have submitted it all. I’m frustrated now with eBay after 12 days of being restricted. We now require additional items to show delivery confirmation. The items sold after my restriction. I’m upset because I I mentioned multiple times that if the new items are going to require delivery then I need to stop because it takes time for delivery confirmation. I was assured it was only the items before and eBay even listed the specific items that needed delivery confirmation in the email.
but now I have to wait another 2-3 days for my other items sold after my restriction to show delivery confirmation before I can withdraw ANY funds. I now have over $2000 on hold for over 10+ days.

this just doesn’t feel right.

On the local pickup,  did the buyer pay through Ebay managed payments ? Do you have proof that they picked up the item.  I'm thinking that maybe ebay wants proof that this item was delivered.  Did you get the feedback for this transaction? If no, can you email the buyer and ask them to please post the feedback for you.   I would not tell them that ebay has the funds on hold just in case they think they might want the money back and keep the speakers.
