MC011 Invoice from Mercari

I have been trying to get my account unrestricted for over a month.  I just recieved a reply from ebay. They are saying my laptop invoices from mercari are not valid because they do not show credit card info.  Mercari only has 1 kind of invoice on their site.  Apparently there's a way to get a more detailed invoice from Mercari according to the ebay trust and safety rep I spoke to. Anyone know what they are talking about???

Have you contacted anyone at Mercari to see if they can provide a  more detailed invoice? Or can you upload the entry from your credit card statement that shows the same dollar amount as the Mercari invoice or somehow would tie the two together?

There are some Mercari folks who frequent these discussion boards, so maybe one of them can help.

I sell on Mercari off and on - if you're using the app, on the home page tap your profile image, then on the top left "buying --->completed", then view order, then receipt (I think it's at the top left).  That should show how you paid.  Is that what you did?  

What you can do, too, is ask on the Mercari subreddit on Reddit if there is more thorough information that can be gotten. They're probably a lot more knowledgeable than I am - I've sold maybe 120 things there.

IAC, this is not because Mercari is a competitor, I think it's because eBay needs actual payment method connected to your identification.  IMHO that's silly, your Mercari receipt should be enough.

Just called Mercari and they said there's no other invoice. I have no idea what ebay is talking about. I just submitted the corresponding credit card statements that show my card was charged by Mercari when I placed the orders. Hopefully that will be enough.

This is a nightmare. I called Mercari and there is no other invoice availible.  I swear I get the impression that ebay reps are just making up excuses as they go.  I tried contacted them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and no one will talk to me because my account is revoked! They literally just ignore your messages no explanation or nothing. #%$@^#!!!!!

What is the phone nr to Mercari? I thought they don’t have phone support at all.

Mercari has issue with accounts taken over and hijackers shopping with that person card.

Oh I see... that kinda makes sense. I talked to another ebay rep just now and they said the invoices I sent them were good and my account should be reactivated within 72hrs.  I don't wanna get my hopes up. I'll keep ya'll updated on my epic ordeal.

I don't think I can post numbers here. Just Google "Mercari phone number" you will find it.

 I was unable to call them when my account was hijacked. The only way they communicate is through email so I was wondering what nr you have. I would like to talk to them on the phone. 100% positive they have no phone support. 

is it against eebay rules to post customer support phone nr to Mercari? Anyone know?

I remember finding a phone number for them online but all that it led to was a voicemail and they never called you back. Maybe OP got lucky and they answered.

If you funded the payment to Mercari with your credit card, a copy of that portion of the c.c. bill showing the payment to Mercari that matches the amount on your Mercari account might prove your case.

Make sure what ever numbers you find are actually Mercari numbers. (Googling ebay phone numbers will bring up plenty of numbers, but they're ALL fake and lead you to scammers.)

Yes, I don't recall which number I called to get through. You might want to try "reddit mercari phone number" or "mercari talk to a person call"  those search queries should net you the number you need. I also heard you can try sending a message on their Facebook and Twitter. I hope this helps.

Yes I did send ebay the corresponding credit card statements. That may be my saving grace. I submitted them Sunday night so I should get a response by Wednesday. I'll keep you posted.
