Did you mean:

Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

I've had about a dozen transactions on one of my new account in the past month.

All of the orders are supposed to be going to the following address:
*****

*****
United States

Each account is different, brand new with 0 feedback. All of the names are different and appear as the following

GenericFirstName BSTHGLJH

That is in the order details but on the orders page the name always appears different like this

The middle initial and last name are always combined like this

****

Whoever it is keeps ordered and then cancelled 5 minutes later. We are already up to 5 just in the past 2 hours. At this rate I just want to tell them I can't cancel it and punish them for their behavior but this is ridiculous.

Strange.  What would they possibly have to gain by doing this?

I would never NOT cancel an order where the customer asked to cancel.

Sorry this is happening to you.

Let's hope it stops on it's own.

Re: Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

If you search the Internet you will find that this address is of a freight forwarder and it has been used in scamming sellers on various marketplaces.

Some of those posts offer opinions on how to deal with it.

Re: Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

Its a freight forwarder in Oregon.

I have shipped a lot there and never had a problem.

Add each to you BBL and if you can prove it is the same buyer you should be able to report them for creating a new account to get around your blocking them.

@d.b.bricks

Finding  bad reviews on a freight forwarding address doesn't necessarily mean that EVERYTHING that gets shipped there is going to have a problem as @klhmdg pointed out.

Re: Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

Look at the transaction details and see what the buyers full name is and what their registered, not shipping, address is. Odds are they probably have the same registered address but may be using different names.

Re: Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

And the reason they’re all getting cancelled 5 minutes within being ordered?

I'm trying to point out that it's not the ADDRESS itself that is bad, it's the PERSON making the purchase using that address that is bad.

There could be hundreds/thousands of good buyers using that address to conduct business.

You just happened to get a bad one.

Re: Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

You are right that it doesn't but the OP's description of the messages associated with the cancellation is consistent with the scam which has been identified, and different enough from normal to indicate it probably is the same scam.

I do not rush to accuse buyers of scamming, but this looks bad.

What I would not say is that all of these orders might be from the same buyer. Someone could have shared how to info on reddit or facebook or some other social media.

Well the company hasn’t responded to anything so they’re pretty much complicit at this point

I don't suppose it matters too much, but what reason is given for the cancellation each time?

The only possibilities I can think of are scammers trying out a stolen credit card number to see if it still works, or some kind of automated ordering service that looks for some requested item at the lowest possible price, cancelling their order if they find another one at a lower price within, say, 60 minutes of the first one.

Incidentally, that reshipper address is a commonly used (and widely used, for many years) freight forwarder for international eBay buyers. I've shipped to them many, many times with no issues. The fact that they are occasionally used by scammers has nothing to do with the scam itself (whatever that might be).

Re: Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

... and then cancelled 5 minutes later.

Clarify:
a) Is the buyer submitting Cancellation Requests? A case you navigate through and select Yes or No.
b) Is eBay sending you 'We've Cancelled the Sale' notifications. There is no navigating or selecting involved.

Re: Lot of cancelled orders from the save address.

it’s the notification of “a buyer wants to cancel their order”

I always say yes because it’s good service but also I’m sure eBays algorithm doesn’t fare well for sellers that don’t.

Each time it happens, cancel the order as "buyer requested" and add the buyer to your BBL.

But as a new and inexperienced seller, you are a target of scammers and if you do get a buyer who happens to be a scammer, you will lose both the item and the money. You're selling Legos at 99 cents with free shipping so it appears you're shipping without tracking.

Any buyer who claims INR (item not received) will win the case and get a refund because you won't be able to prove delivery.

My suggestion would be to sell a bundle of Lego pieces as a lot and charge for ground advantage (previously known as first class parcel) shipping.

At $.99 with free shipping, I can't imagine you're making any money after fees!
