I bought 150 items from a seller.
Seller provided tracking.
The package returned to China.
And Ebay closed by case in the favor for the seller because they provided a tracking.
That is ridiculous!!!! I just lost 120$ and I did provide the tracking of the DHL for the returned package.
Do Ebay really check trackings??????????????????? Because I think this time they didn't.

I’m confused...was the package returned to China because it couldn’t be delivered to you or did you return the package because there was a problem or....?

According to the carrier, DHL wrong contact number was written onto the package and the seller asked them to send it back to them. I was never informed about the arrival of the package due to this mistake. My contact number is the same every time, and all of the other packages I received.
I contacted Ebay that it is visible on the tracking status that it had been returned and the seller already got the package. They aggreed on this BUT I never get any refund because I was the one who didn't went for the package (nonsence!!!!!).
The seller keep saying that the package is at me.
Ebay told me to contact the seller by phone.
= I lost more then 120$ because of the policy of Ebay. And I never received a thing.

Open an item not received dispute at PayPal, then escalate it immediately to a claim:
If the PayPal bot cannot find the word "delivered" to your city and country in the online-viewable tracking, no matter where the package wandered in the meantime, then you will get a refund.

At the risk of sounding like I am nitpicking ... does the tracking that you provided show online viewable delivery confirmation to the seller?

eBay has a money back guarantee which should secure your item payment. You should call eBay and demand a case opened under the money back guarantee. eBay guarantees you will receive exactly what was described or your money back. If your sellers communications about something worng with the shipment is within the ebay message system then it is very easy to finialize in your favor.
Good Luck Selling!

Having read through this twice what I am understanding is that the order was returned to the seller because of an address problem , in such a case does not the buyer lose their buyer protection ?
It has been stated on these boards many times that if a package is returned to sender because of "wrong address" the buyer protection is void .
Is this a possible reason ebay closed the case ?

If that's true then unscrupulous sellers could change the address, mark the package return if undeliverable, and basically steal from the buyer.
What part does the address provided by eBay/ PayPal play in this? Or do they only check to see if the postal code is correct?
My experience with the MBG is that if the seller is overseas and won't cooperate, eBay's big bad hammer seems to turn into mush.

As I understand ebay and or paypal provide the address that the buyer gives them , so the buyer is responsable to make sure that it is correct .

Correct, but it wasn’t the address that was wrong. OP is in Hungary and DHL evidently tried to contact him to alert him of the package but OP’s phone number the seller put on the package was wrong. Now why DHL had to contact him regarding delivery instead of just delivering it, we don’t know.
In the U.S. anyway if a package gets to the buyer’s location and can’t be delivered for any reason other than short postage, eBay will usually favor the seller.

File an appeal of the ebay decision.

If the tracking states item was returned because you did not pick it up or there is an error w address on package and seller can show he shipped to address on order you have no buyer protection
