Had a Ebayer ask if local pick up was OK, said sure. He won 2 auctions , sent him an invoice marked local pick up and took out the freight costs. He picked up his items and I marked them shipped, no tracking number to add.
I was checking my seller dashboard and noticed I had 2 dings against me for not uploading tracking on them.
I called Ebay about it as what to do on this and the next time, like to try and be at 100% on my dash board. After being transfered 2 twice here were my 2 options for the future, they won't do anything about the 2.
1) next time cancel the deal and relist as local pick up only. 2) Buy postage so I can upload tracking, send him a thank you card. What the?? Trying to sell and also do what customers ask, I am shock and think the answers were very stupid. Wrong??

If you sent the invoice with local pickup only as the ONLY option, they should remove the dings. Try calling until someone can understand that.

I did send it that way. Spent 20 min on the phone, seems so stupid even more the answers I got. Thank you.

I agree with 1. Cancel the listing using problem with address and relist it as local pickup cash only with np shipping data. It actually protects you as the seller.

But that's what sending the invoice with LPU only should do.
Oh wait - where am I at!

I am finding more and more if you want to keep ebay off your back just follow the steps involved. That is why I always advocate to do it by the book.

Well, that used to be in the book, but they probably lost the chapter.

Same thing happened to me, but my buyer bought 4 books. So I got hit with 4 "tracking not uploaded" and 4 late deliveries because they couldn't verify it. When I called I ended up talking to a supervisor who was extremely rude. He told me they don't have a way to remove them no matter what the reason. Said in future I needed to add "Local Pickup" to every listing just in case. Said even though I was able to prove the buyer picked them up and I received a stellar feedback from her since local picklup box wasn't offered in the listing I just had to deal with the negative marks in my dashboard. He said there is no situation where you will not be charged for no tracking unless you have offered local pickup in the original listing.
He was a REAL Helpful guy!
