Local Pickup

When listing an item for local pickup only EBay policy states that you have to offer the buyer "at least one of the approved electronic payment methods". When I listed the item (still in draft) under payment it lists check, money order or cash. I see no electronic methods. Any clues appreciated.

Unless I miss the mark, eBay will provide the electronic method. 

Sellers have no choice as to what "electronic method" a buyer uses, and when an "electronic method" is used the seller will not know which was used.

Thanks for your reply. So the buyer sets this up? Unfamiliar with paypal ,GPay etc. is there something I need to set up in order to accept electronic payments?

You need to make sure you've set up your bank account on eBay for Managed Payments.  That's it.  You don't do anything via any other payment method.

eBay manages all the complexity around the various payment methods a buyer can use. Everything gets funneled to your Managed Payments account automatically.

Yes you must set up for some type of electronic payment because even with local pickup some buyers like to go ahead and pay in advance ( before picking up item)

     I take it that you have signed up under managed payments right? 

   Other buyers like to pay when they pick it up and they'll give you a QR code ( have the ebay app on your phone) and zoom your phone on the code and it let's ebay know this transaction is completed.

I would think there is a good possibility that some of the options on local pickup will be changing soon.

They have on .uk, no more cash on collection. Online payments only.

     You have sold a number of items and I assume you are getting your payouts and the funds are going into your bank account. Electronic payment on local pickup would work the same.
