Old topic it seems: 06-24-2021
If the OP did not offer pick up in the listing:
This does create a problem due to you need tracking and signature confirmation on such a sale that the total is over $750.00.
You do not have ability to send the purchaser a Q code to show its was picked up> a signed receipt: advise a copy of ID also might work
but doubt it..
They easily could file an item not received and due to lack of tracking and signature you would lose.
Correct advice would be:
Cancel the sale due to address. Relist it with pick up only and then the sale could be done.

I must be the only one here that does not feel like shipping a TV
I think I might drive for a delivery........shipping a TV is just not my thing
maybe you are actually glad that the buyer lives 40 minutes close by
all I can think of is the fact that you might get stuck for return shipping somehow
I have never done the local picup thing.I know there is a code thingy but there are many loopholes I think
meet the fellow 20 minutes from you in a store parking lot and get cash maybe

Oh, heck, no. Shipping a TV is a recipe for disaster. If the buyer reports shipping damage (either real or imaginary), you're on the hook for a full refund, either with or without paying to ship it back first. (Your choice)
@tmtechbus: What's the latest on this? Did you deliver it, ship it, or cancel the sale?

With local pickup, you need to offer buyers at least one of the approved electronic payment methods.

I would assume all went well or the OP would have returned complaining. Even though a slight risk, there was no need for any of the delivery confirmation, or proof, if the buyer was honest which most buyers are.

I guarantee that the buyer will want the seller to take it into the house and set it up for them.
