Hey, so I've noticed some listings only show up in search when you use specific keywords. For example, try looking up Blackberry 8520. I get 19 results. Then try looking up BlackBerry Curve 8520. I get 1,098 results.
How does this work? What exactly is going on here? Please clarify.
Thank you,

When you search for "BlackBerry 8520", eBay automatically switches the category from "All Categories" to "Cell Phones & Smartphones". This filters out many listings for accessories like charger cables, cases, and batteries.
But when you search for "BlackBerry Curve 8520", eBay leaves the categoriy as "All Categories" so you see those accessories like charger cables, cases, and batteries.
This automatic filtering of a search nby switching the category is infuriating, and I've never understood what triggers eBay to do it.

I have an active auction listing, "19th Century oil painting, View of Niagara", BUT if I search, 19th Century Oil Paintings, under the Auction format, MY painting DOES NOT COME UP???
There are ONLY 93 listings under the auction format, but THOUSANDS of listings under all listing formats?
I show ONLY 23 views in one week, which also seems extremely light, and none since I simplified the title? When you put in the "Title", it keeps saying to add more details, but then if you can't find your item listed, it seems to say LESS is better?
The Customer Support on this is NON EXISTENT, and I doubt I will be listing anymore items!

Did you edit the title, because your only listing does not include the words "oil painting" or "oil paintings".
Be aware search does all sorts of weird things with plurals and possesives. painting, paintings and painting's will all return different results. "painting" should include all three and does not. painting's will frequently match all items with painting, but not paintings. Other times yield different behavior. It's also affected by whether or not Can't See Me automagically forces your search to a category search.
