Listing with Variations?

i am trying to list hydraulic fitting with size variations. used to have an edit button on the variations to add them. it is gone. and custom field is there. 

i am using buy it now and still not showing. how do i list with variations after the update?

Are variation listings available in the category you are listing in?  This type of listing is not available in every category.

no it appears not. i thought variation were available and up to me to decide to use. would be super useful for variations.

You can always reach out to Ebay and make the suggestion.  Over the years they have added other categories that can use variation listings due to the request of sellers.

Your options will be on the left.  If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.  Not all options are available 24/7.  It will depend on staffing available.  So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't.  Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me.  If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Give this a try:

• First you have to have a store subscription
• Using the Desktop Web App, do not work on mobile
• On the very first draft for an item, you need to click the three vertical dots at the VERY TOP RIGHT of the listing item draft screen / page.
  • Then Settings, and
  • then toggle the Variations button to enable the variations section to show on the listing.
    
    
• Once enabled then you are off to the races.
• The initial listing screens has been updated as well.
• Also if you have an active listing, you cannot add variations.
  • To add a variation for an active listing, you have to end the listing and do a sell similar.
  • This takes it into draft mode and then you can add variations.

I checked to verify @lobarn-0 and variations are unfortunately not supported in that category.

For future, just because you don't see variations on the form doesn't necessarily mean they're not supported by the category. First step is to follow advice by @treasure_trove_bay  to make sure the variation setting is displayed on your listing form. By default it's hidden, but once you activate it will appear every time.

The other thing to keep in mind is to always create a new listing because if you 'sell similar' from a listing without variations you won't be able to access them.
