I've had a listing removed for true crime trading cards because it promotes violence. Fair enough, however there are literally dozens of the same thing already for sale.. and I used the same description language as they did. (https://www.ebay.com/b/true-crime-cards/bn_7024861300)
Why my listing and not these others?

They havent been reported yet.

Hmm... so if the others of the exact material would be reported, they'd be taken down?

Feel free to report to eBay any listings that you feel violate eBay rules and protocol.
They're not always removed, however.

Yes, it seems so. The other listing for the same exact product with the same exact description were reported but not removed... so it seems that policy enforcement is arbitrary.

I've had more than a few listings removed in all different categories. With each one I thought it was perfectly fine to list - until it was removed - with hundreds of the same listings still up. (It's not always obvious when something shouldn't be listed.) It is incredibly frustrating, so I know how you feel... but there's nothing you can do about it. That's just how it is. As mentioned, you were caught & they weren't. Simple as that.
Someone here once described it like this. Say you're driving on the expressway & you're all going over the speed limit. But you're the one that's one pulled over, while the others are still speeding. Can't pull everyone over but the cop focused on you. It's the same thing.
Whatever you do, DON"T list the same item again. Once ebay removes an item of yours, you will be on their radar. You'll start getting warnings. There's no reason to put your account in jeopardy. It happens to many of us! You just accept it & move on. I wouldn't even bother reporting any others, it's a waste of time.
Good luck!

Because eBay policy enforcement has never been comprehensive, accurate, or timely.
And also note that per the User Agreement, eBay can remove any listing they want at any time for any reason.

20 people speed past a cop, only one gets a ticket. Wise to let it go and not relist it.

Things are not done evenly across the site, so it often simply comes down to luck, or the lack of.
It always amuses me that when I list a phone I cannot describe it as "tiny" in the title. If I do I get a "promoting an illegal activity". I can use small etc and can use tiny in the description. Just not in the title even though thousands of others do.
The annoying thing is I was not told the "offending" word. I had to find that with a bit of experimentation.
It's just something ebay does, an ebay thing.
