Listing privileges revoked (with no warning) 1 hour before some auctions were about to end!!

I have not sold much on eBay. Recently I needed to generate some funds rather urgently and decided to sell four high-value guitars via auction. 1 sold at the "buy it now" price almost immediately. I shipped it using UPS rather than USPS and while I sent the buyer the tracking info, I did not add it to the listing. I also DID NOT GET ANY WARNING MESSAGE THAT I NEEDED TO ADD IT TO THE LISTING. Then 1 hour before the other auctions were about to end, likely generating several thousand very needed dollars, they all disappeared. And I got an email saying "Selling privileges revoked, no tracking information" - no warning, no prompt to add the information which I would have done easily had I known, just gone.

In discussion with customer service, the remedy was, "OK, we've seen your complaint, yup sorry, should have had some kind of warning or notification but... oops, our bad, sorry, we'll raise it internally and you're account will be re-instated at some very unspecified future time once our backroom team does their thing". WTAF, that's it? That's the remedy?

I did ask if a supervisor was available or am I that unimportant to eBay that I probably shouldn't waste my time. At which point the conversation ended, with a "my supervisor would say the same thing, sorry". So yeah, I guess we're all just that unimportant to eBay - at least they were able to answer that question. Good to know.

But hey, this post earned me a "first topic badge" so that's awesome right?

If eBay is holding your funds for the sold guitar and it has not been delivered yet, you can contact UPS and have it returned to you instead of being delivered. Zero FB selling high value stuff is unfortunately very likely to have this kind of problem and eBay may try to hold funds for a long time. If you are in need of money, at least try to get your guitar back.

Even I get a bit nervous when something sells for more than a couple thousand and I have this for limits:

You can sell up to 8130 items or $243,500.00 per month, whichever comes first. See how selling limits work
