Are offers on a listing shown to all buyers, or only the seller? And are they meant to be confidential (or am I allowed to let someone in DMs know what my current offers are to see if I can get something higher?) thanks 🙂

Best offers are offered to any perspective buyer. What they may offer is not. If they DM you asking you to text them and pay with another method other than what ebay provides, they are scammers out to rob you. As a new seller, honestly I would avoid auctions and best offers. Scammers target new sellers. You don't need the grief. Buy it now (fixed price) with immediate payment required is the route to go. Good luck.

Only the seller can see the amount offered, though anyone who has submitted an offer is told whether competing offers have been made.

I suppose you could let a rival know the offer that you have from someone else, but they might just respond by asking why you hadn't accepted that offer already. 😉 Me, I think if a seller responded to my offer like that, claiming that he had a better offer from someone else, I'd find that a little sleazy, definitely not believable. I would just weigh the offer on its merits, and if you don't like the current number, counteroffer with something higher.

Hi @isabzime_35
The amount of offers aren't shown to buyers anywhere ... just whether an offer has been 'Accepted' or 'Declined' (in multiple listings).
I don't know whether it would violate eBay policy ... but it seems kind of tacky to reveal the amount of still-active offers to another buyer.

Only the seller. I don't see why you can't disclose the offers. Nor do I think it would be tacky. You're after the highest price, after all.
