Listing hand sanitizers during this covid 19 time frame

Ridiculous that we cannot list items in the category of hand sanitizers during this period.  Especially when Ebay says it is the rule/law of Ebay sellers from their corporate office.  This is due to price gouging, etc.  Then you go into Ebay Home page search and find items listed they say are outlawed due to gouging.

I called Ebay today and queried them.  They said exactly what I wrote.  Any medical sales with covid connectivity are prohibited. They also stated that a team is systematically taking down posts of sellers.  I asked how are they even up. I told him I could't list.

Then he directed me to Health & Beauty category without any mention of covid or healthcare toward such.  I tried and still was blocked.

**bleep**. Why can s few people some who have sold over 200 items in days list into these categories?  This is harassment and discrimination.  But complaining does no good.

Any thoughts?

Well you can report the others for violations.

It is not any harassment or discrimination.  it is the rules being enforced by eBay.

I am wondering why you have not become a NARU due to the fact you keep trying to list.

So far you have been lucky.

If you mange to, and it is reported (Most likely by other sellers getting away  with it) you will be NARU.

eBay reps give half a$$ed information.   There are many sellers that were pre-approved to sell those items. You weren't so you're not allowed. And since you have no idea if other listings are from pre-approved sellers or not you shouldn't be reporting them as then you could be taking up eBay's time to investigate approved listings.

No 1) I haven't reported anyone.  IDC whether they sell such items or not, No 2) The only concern I have is that if some are selling the privilege to sell such items should be alive for all, and finally No 3) Time taken away from Ebay to investigate such listings is a ridiculous statement. Some of these sellers have sold absolutely thousands of items.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to take down all these sellers if they really were doing their jobs. It would be possible to freeze all account in less than 1 hours time.

Not a matter of luck.  A matter of what's good for the goose is good for the gander so to speak.

Ebay has a right to decide whatever they want on their website. If they say no to hand sanitizer then you have to just deal with it. No gouging allowed.
