I'm trying to sell a modified seiko, and every time I do I get the error message
We noticed that your title doesn't include the brand of your item or it may be spelled Incorrectly. Listing titles should accurately state what is for sale, including the brand. To continue with this listing You'Il need to revise your title to include the properly spelled brand name. This will help optimize your search results, increase views to your item, and allow buyers a cleaner search experience. {URLO} to see more about writing an effective title.
However, any combination I have tried does not work. Seiko in the title spelled correctly, seiko manufacturer. Unnamed manufacturer, etc. Any tips to help get this listing up is greatly appreciated!

What's the full, exact wording of the title you're attempting to use?

What does'modified' mean? Does it have unauthorized parts that are not Seiko?

You can't sell those fake watches.

'Seiko Mod Datejust Style'

Ive sold them before. Other people have too. Not a fake of any kind, thats specifically mentioned in the description. Not attempting to be a seiko, not attempting to be a Rolex. Uses the NH35 Movement and a different case, dial, and hands. So your definition of what the watch is, is incorrect.

If it’s not a Seiko watch, don’t use Seiko in the title or listing.

The one you sold, title says Seiko.
The watch says Seiko.
How is that not attempting to be a Seiko?
I think my definition is right, they are fakes.

I tried that. Listing as unbranded, using the title 'NH35 Mod' and removing the word seiko from the description entirely and it still won't list.

If I was attempting to sell it as a seiko, I would not have written "NOTE: This watch is neither a genuine factory Seiko, nor a Rolex. This is a CUSTOM BUILD. Understand what you are buying before you purchase." If it were a fake it would be listed as genuine. As forged paintings are often sold as genuine. If an artist likes two things from two different paintings, and makes something similar. Is that also a fake? I asked for help listing an item and you did not provide any help. Only told I cant sell fake watches, the proceeded to call the watch I had already sold, a fake. Proving that in accordance to your definition, people can sell fake watches. If you have no helpful information, proceed with your life, and have a good day!

You cannot say what it is not, only what it actually is.
Unbranded, unknown, home built, but you cannot say "it's not a Seiko or Rolex". - that's keyword spamming.
People don't want to see a rat rod instead of Cadillac when searching for a Cadillac.

This is fair, and I did state exactly what it is. The statement of what it is not is added for protection from someone purchasing it believing it is something other than what is specifically stated. I managed to get it listed though, thanks to johnathanbrightlight. Good to see at least one person understands how to help create a listing rather than scrutinize with zero helpful information.

I apologize if my information was not helpful.
I was sort of relating this to some of the 11 1/2" Fashion doll clothing & Patterns I sell. It fits Barbie and are made for Barbie, but I cannot use the word Barbie since it was not licensed by Mattel. My listing was in violation.
Anyway, glad you got it figured out, carry on.

I can't pull up the seller or listings but using "Seiko" for a watch that isn't made by Seiko can't be done.
And if your watch was pretending to be Seiko, i.e., if it had "Seiko" markings, that would make it counterfeit and it can't sold anywhere.

I found it and it's not looking good!
Listing a watch that looks like a Seiko, has Seiko markings and listing it as "unbranded" in the item specifics is not appropriate nor is it allowed. And claiming "NOTE: This watch is neither a genuine factory Seiko, nor a Rolex. This is a CUSTOM BUILD. Understand what you are buying before you purchase" in the description is an authenticity disclaimer, NOT allowed.
You might want to read up on ebay's counterfeit policy:
