Listing blocked because of violation of policy issue

So one of my listings - one that has probably been active for more than a year (waiting for just the right buyer) was blocked the other day because of violation of policy.

I was sent this message (in part):

Your listing didn't follow our Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay policy. Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay, including sharing direct contact information prior to an eBay purchase, is not allowed.

There is nothing in my listing at all about offering to sell outside of ebay.  I can't figure out was the problem is.  I can't even find any wording that could be mistaken for an offer to contact or sell outside ebay.   It's pretty much the same listing format I've used for years.

Is this some sort of AI garbage that is going through our listings and finding problems that aren't there?

Look carefully at all details of your listing with the thought that the bots that flagged it looks at strings of characters or words without regards to context, spaces, or punctuation. Any string of characters that looks like a part of an email address, website address, phone number, etc., will be flagged, whether they actually are or not.

Thanks.  That's kind of what I'm thinking.  This listing has gone unflagged for quite sometime and yesterday it got dinged.

Did you copy any part of the description from another site and paste in your description?

Sometimes that will add hidden HTML that the bots pick up.

Have a great day.

Did you email or get an email from a potential buyer?

Emails are scanned by eBay if there is anything like sending your outside email address in eBay to a potential buyer or someone inquiring about a certain product of an item...where buyer used that item for sale in an email. Just a thought.
